You have to dip. At the moment it looks like you are throwing your legs behind you as fast as you can. You have to jump and dip.

Look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS04XT6JyV8

I suggest you firstly watch some tutorials or analyse what other good trickers are doing in their btwist so you have a decent knowledge and understanding of the move.

(P.S You are doing a cross btwist-aerial thing at the moment, also you could be much better off learning this with some sort of set up... watch different people's and you will see the tech for set-up. )

Main Error(s):

- You must dip - Also should be going UP from this.
- A set up may be required - Definitely required for doing more advanced b-twist variations.

Lets look at some things... - arms, shoulders, chest, head, hips and legs.

I think I'll start from the bottom and work up.

Your Legs/Feet/HIPS:

CURRENTLY:

Legs don't become parallel until just before take off. Left leg steps forward in front of your right as if you were doing an aerial. Your hips turn forwards way before take off.

CORRECT BY:

In the last step you do in the new set up you choose/find you are going to want to block by stretching out your left leg. Your hips should be parallel to your legs whilst dipping. When you reach out and are on one foot at the end of the dip your hips will then be facing forwards.

Your Chest/Arms/Head:

Arms: They start up and are brought down diagonally. Chest: Is basically facing forwards at all times. When you take off it is facing to the left of screen. Head: Facing forwards whole time until finished take off.

CORRECT BY:

Arms: Before dipping they will be up, chest level. While dipping bring them down in a circular motion. At time of take off bring them upwards and outwards and reach. Chest: During dip it should be facing the ground, during take off it should be getting lifted up and around to your left. Head: Your head should be facing towards the screen before you initialise the dip. That is to say it will be facing the opposite direction in which it will be when you take off.

I suggest watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePGWd3Wa5HU and getting a good knowledge of the move...

My information may not be that useful as it is clear to me you just really need to know the basics of what you need to do and then work on them. One step at a time keep on improving.

There is no such thing as a trickster aerial.

There is no such thing as a trickster aerial.

Yes there is, it's an inverted bkick. As opposed to a gymnast aerial. Haime does them all the time and they rock.

I agree, you should go for the aerial, as you are closer to an inverted bkick/aerial than you are to an actual butterfly kick.

For the butterfly kick you need to throw your upper body up as much as your legs, and they both count each other out and you stay horizontal. Look at my avatar, ok it aint perfect, but look at the arch of the back at the end. It comes up with the legs. Also, work your setup. Try and get the wushu setup (avatar again) as this will help with your technique and give you more height.

As it is, you aren't far off!

There ARE such things as trickster aerials, and they can sometimes look good!

definitely better, especially the later ones. you can see your shoulders trying to lift as your legs go up. Your torque is ver good, you just need some lift now, so work your take off and make sure you really get into the floor with your left leg (big big bend) before pushing off with it (also, make sure your knees don't go out over your toes as this negates your block).

Keep at em, you are definitely getting there.

Better but you have to dip. Dip below waist level and jump off your left leg hard.

Yeah just work on a good DIPPING set up now.

Remember what I said about where your head should be facing (towards screen at initialisation of dip) and when you start dipping your head should be following an arc which will look like:

Your arms should also follow this path.

Keep it up man.
