I can pop 720, but I find the 540 hard. For some reason I keep putting down my left leg after I swing through with my right leg(the kicking leg). It feels a bit funny jumping off my right leg, and landing back on it, so I started over rotating to land on the opposite leg or just putting my left leg down right after I swing the right leg over. Any ideas on how to fix this? And remember, this is my only problem with the 540, everything else is perfect. Height, angle, crap I'm almost completely horizontal when I do them. Just the damn landing.

You mean a normal 540 and not like a 540crescent/hook? Yeah okay well a clip would REALLY help but otherwise work on your tornado kicks. Get them high floaty and fast to the point where you can almost start landing with both feet at the same time. After that the, 540 will be yours by getting used to tucking the nonkicking leg up next to your butt as you're kicking through your target. Also, chamber the kick. Don't just swing up straight legged. Bring it up bent then straighten it out for when you actually kick.

I don't see why you were even comparing the pop 720 and 540 though. They're completely different moves. It makes perfect sense that you can do one and not the other, so it's not weird on your part.

I was using a pop 720, to say I can do more difficult tricks with relative ease but I find the 540 difficult at times. Anyway, I jut went out and drilled them, I most likely will have to come back to them eventually, but for now I can land them.

Kicks have to be drilled more consistently than other moves. Generally. They're the first to go downhill usually from not practicing.
