So last night I was going to practice my b-twists since I haven't in a long time and the first time I tried to do it, I accidentally did an aerial which I have never done before. I used the thing where you shoot your leg out and prepare for a b-twist but somehow it give me more momentum or something for an aerial. Is this bad? I could never be able to aerial before yesterday.

if you can aerial consistantly, good. then try to get gymnast aerials. then, you can try to get btwists.

i think you are refering to the so called ''trickster aerial'', wich is an inverted butterfly kick. it sucks. learn a gymnast aerial

This is true, but once you know how to aerial correctly, you can revert to that btwist setup to try and shorten the gap between running into, say, aerial switches and twists and doing it from standing. Or, just take less steps till you're just doing a 1 step hurdle into it. BUT THAT WILL COME LATER.
