It's not an aerial yet. Just keep your hands from touching the floor, then it will be an aerial =P.

The spin step will help you land this easily. Learn it
Actually look at your take off bud, your leg is almost straight. When you jump into that take off step, let your left knee bend thats where you will get that jump from it. I had the same problem untill someone pointed that out.
When you bend your knee you want to not be able to see your toes. Then just explode. You should gain close to a foot of heigh more.
That knee bend thing, does it apply to a standing aerial? Because that is how im practicing the aerial. Well, i only tried it for a few minutes, but i tried it from standing.

you would have landed it sooooo high if you just pulled the landing leg undernieth you (towards your chest).
and it's already been mentioned that you should bend the jumping leg more to get more jump.

like i said him during our training:p bend the " push of the ground leg" more
You can't jump from a straight leg dude, but don't you worry, once you get used to it, you will land that aerial with no problems

The leg that's supposed to land first needs to SNAP DOWN underneath you: you are just letting your body rotate over freely without controlling it. Send that back leg straight up, turn your hips over to face where you're going to land, and snap that leg down UNDERNEATH you, as 'pete man man' said.
To reiterate what everyone else has said, bend that first leg, and lift your chest up. The chest is the last thing I think about before I aerial - lift it, and use your arms to lift it to.

Youve got to pull your right leg, HARD! I suggest you basically sprint/fast jog towards that sandpit and do a powerful cartwheel. No do the same but do a one handed cartwheel only using your RIGHT hand. Try to become less reliant on your right hand. Focus on pulling that leg up and then pulling it through all the way to the ground...
You need power and a bit better tech. Keep it up though :D

You're kinda pulling the leg up, and dropping down =P. You gotta launch it up, look the way you're going, spot the landing leg (Which you should've pulled through) and BAM, you've landed it.

an aerial is not just a fly motion like misterpropper thinks it is...
you have to carry that lift up leg throu as fast as posible and not just fly there and wait untill you hope you gonna land.

this is more of a sideflip than aerial:tongue:
Use your legs more and lift that torso at the lending.
And commit yourself

Qft!
You need to bring your legs around your hips! Your torso should stay pretty much in the same spot, as your legs move around it, as though it's a big pivot.
Practise cartwheels for this purpose - they'll help you understand how the legs should move around the torso/hips.

Ouch. Looks like you hurt your ankle.
At least if I landed like that, my ankle would instantaneously shatter.
My ankle's only working thanks to some elmers glue and scotch tape.
*Sighs....getting old*

Don't just kick the back leg up hard. You have to fucking pull that leg over into the landing as hard as you can!
Unlike a cartwheel where we can relax our leg so it floats over with no effort, in an aerial we have to fucking force that leg to get to the landing!
Looking good though.

omfg, your so close. just keep pratising and lifting that back leg harder each time. I'm still trying to get the aerial. Its jsut something about it that I don't get. I can't try and jump and lift my back leg at the same time, thats all.
