Ok so I think i've gotten better at my Aerials considering how they used to look, and I only ever did them into sand

Old Aerial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc8aOACwEz8)

New Aerial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iYMeLO6eOs)

So any advice on how to land them. I'm nearly there. I was quite tired when this was filmed

(the second link mightn't work yet cause I just uploaded it, and i'm going to bed now)

Don't throw your arm at the ground as you jump. Make sure you're on the way up both with your leg and arm when you get of the ground.

try to keep your chest higher duing the takeoff....don't let it go down....you know the technique explained in juji's axe2aerial tut? (keep your body high parallel to the ground) well...try to apply the same principle in your aerials....it might work.....also remember to swing your back leg fast and hard....and push off hard as well with your base leg........good luck!

Everything that's been said is correct:

As tomek said 'keep drilling' - eventually, when your body becomes used to the motion, it will come naturally.

But you have to make sure that your body doesn't get used to throwing that first arm down, like Tekaru said.

A good tip, as well as keeping your chest and upper torso higher like jessster said (the chest is the last part of my body I think about before I aerial), is to look where you want to land as soon as you get into the air - in other words, turn your hips faster to face where you want to land, so you can snap that first leg down underneath you.

LOOK! and then PLANT THAT DAMN LEG! You might not be able to stand back up, but it will help you train that first leg to travel up fast, and then DOWN fast.

Good luck mate - you'll have it soon! :good:

But by the way, I'd go back to cartwheels and practise keeping your legs straight (when that first leg takes off, if it is incredibly straight it will help lift you, as opposed to a slightly bent leg).
