you should finish with your arms up, apart from that it is nice.

What everyone else said about the arms. Your takeoff from the roundoff should almost be like you're flying towards the sky, arms above your head. Also, try to do it just a tad faster, for more momentum. Pretty good roundoff, keep practicing and you'll get it perfect soon.

You need to have more snap down - you're just coming out of the roundoff like a cartwheel. Your legs should snap down slightly underneath you. Push through your shoulders off your hands onto your feet.

Although everyone is saying finish with your arms up, you should finish the roundoff with arms down. That way, when you go into tuckbacks and flicks (back handsprings) they are ready to lift hard up towards your head, giving you momentum and assisting rotation.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpLSai8QBtE No. That would imply staying on your feet on the roundoff long enough to swing your arms for momentum. There's a tiny swing, but they should already be above you.

I just find it easier to have my arms out in front of me as my feet hit the floor out of the round off, as the gymnast in your video does too (good video btw, thanks for posting). The distance they then have to travel to your head (particularly in flicks) helps me improve my momentum. I apologise, I said down by your sides in the previous post, exaggerating what I actually meant (which was out in front of you).

I get everything you guys mentioned except this snap down part. am i supposed to throw my legs to the ground faster or something like that?:dead:

Sort of. You have to push off your hands using your shoulders in the round off, and use your stomach and leg muscles to bring your feet down underneath you slightly. Consequently, when your feet PUNCH the floor with such speed and power, it sends you UPWARDS!

You're aim is to literally punch the floor with your feet, then IMMEDIATELY go into a subsequent move like a back somersault.

Don't stay on the ground too long though after your round off - the longer you stay the more energy you lose into the ground.
