will it work fine in the UK? I know ill have to get an adapter for the plug to charge it, but will there be any ghey complications over NTSC and PAL?
i know that you can use edit in NTSC and PAL on premiere.
any help?
You should be fine with an adaptor. Now go out there and make sex happen!

There won't be. I don't even know how that could possibly happen haha.
Besides just about any video editing program ever will let you convert one to the other or some crap.

Well I have a camera from Hong Kong which uses PAL, and over here it can't read any tapes recorded in NTSC, so you might not be able to play/capture your recorded tape on other peoples' cameras, and vice versa.

im not really bothered about not being able to watch other people stuff.
one of the other probs was not being able to watch stuff back on the cam on my TV... but then again i never do that so its not really a problem :eh:
cool thanks for the help guys... its really pissing me off that cameras are the same price in dollars as they are in uk pounds! gay!

the only complications:
you will have to edit at 30fps at a slightly different resolution.
footage will need to be exported as 25fps if you want to write a dvd that will play on a pal dvd player.
Import costs of buying a camera from us and getting it shipped will be high.
edit: you could always buy a cam from the us that supports both pal and ntsc, there are some around.

yeah my friend has one of them and its really good, if you buy a good brand like sony or jvc they'll have it built in
edit: if you're going to the US then yeah its a good idea, buying online is not as good cause you will pay the extra at customs and it'll take longer
p.s. check ebay
