NOPE!
Because for instance once you get into windmills/air flares you're going over your LEFT side if you usually go over your RIGHT side when you do like 720's corks whatever.
Somebody should just paste the code lol.

This is just another way of making a trick list in my opinion. Now it's just under sessh's trick classes with a bunch of bars representing percentage.

Lets get this straight, a boxcutter is a hyper corkscrew with a hook. because corks aren't supposed to be inverted in order to land one you should be spinning 540 degrees. In the case of a hyper cork the act of hypering usualy adds an extra 18 degrees of rotation onto the end of the move; so in that respect club540 is correct in saying you spin 720 degrees. A double cork is actualy 900 degrees of rotation.

matt r strikes again!
i think that the sessh sig idea is bad simply because it doesn't allow for how good your execution is, it's impossible to list out every trick & variations, and it implies that you can always do any of those tricks that you've "marked off." it's silly and nonconducive to forward progress to try and keep all your tricks all the time (at least after you have progressed past a certain level). juji is totally spot-on (at least for anyone who doesn't trick like 12 hours a day) about periodization of tricks that aren't part of the "main arsenal" you like to always be able to do.

Yes, it's a tricklist. The only reason you make a big deal about it is because it's Sessh. It is, however, a less irritating tricklist, because he doesn't name off a thousand different moves!

The way I see it is, if you can count your tricks, you can't trick.
Sessh's way of making a "tricklist" doesn't list all his tricks, just gives a percentage of a certain list. It saves space and looks cool.
I like it, I doubt I'll use it anytime soon (if ever).

You know what I don't like about "the sig" that I can forsee happening?
Big debates over whether "noobs" should take advice for a Gainer from a person who has no Class B tricks [in which a Gainer is listed] accomplished. Then we'd have to go into arguments explaining the already obvious...not being able to do it, doesn't always mean that you don't know how to do it...it just means you can't do it.

Good Point Sessh.....I'll elaborate.
Not all boxing trainers were world champs. Hell, some of them are even out of shape. That does'nt mean they can't train you to be world champ. It's not neccesarily what you can and can't do. But more to the tune of What you know and don't know.
I use it because it's a nice when people a lot of people use the same thing. I don't care if it was made by Sessh, Juji or Michelle Pfeifer.. Also it's a great way of showing everyone just about how much I suck.
Rocketbaz; How can you have 2% missing on your class A tricks? Either you can do a trick or you can't.. :p

LISTEN
I was going into the whole sessh thing because he's apparently the one who made it. To deny the fact that he's the one behind it encourages people to use it would be stupid. He has status as a well known trickster in the community.
However, I don't care for the idea and like I've said multiple times already, it's a trick list, nothing more. People defend it because it's "different." So what? The concept behind it is still there, and that's why I labeled it a "glorified" trick list. Nobody can deny it, that's all it is.
I don't care if it it had been done by anybody else too. My opinion would remain the same.
For the longest time trick lists have been frowned upon. Why? Because it's just people listing what they claim they can do. Even if they can do such skills, it does not reflect how well they do them either. No detail to consistency, cleanliness and numerous other factors that people could argue based on personal preference.
That's why trick lists or sessh's more elaborate percentage bar sig fail. Those things aren't taken into account. We have to SEE it. If you want to show who you are as a trickster, you're going to show it VISUALLY, not display your "level" in the form of percentages to everyone. Obviously for many it makes this whole thing even more ridiculous because people already know what others can do, and if they can't, these percentage bars, honest or not, are of no value unless they are SEEN.
People are eating this up, people who claim to hate trick lists, and all I can do shake my head and laugh.
You all read too much into it.. It's for fun..

It's different to a tricks list, it is more aesthetically pleasing and looks like a level up bar from an RPG. :good:
edit: it is good because it provides measurable objectives in tricking, it provides something extra to strive for in tricks sessions. This is regardless of if it is being displayed in a sig or not.
edit: and yes I did copy it off sess because i thought it looked cool. Is that a crime?

Alexx, you have NO idea what I meant by that and are taking it your own way. By failing I wasn't referring to how popular it is, but why it's really no different than a trick list, and it just "looks" different.
Oh and Andy the fact that it looks like a level for some character in an RPG just makes it that much more silly to me, not cool. It has the same childish aspect I saw in the original trick lists.

"are you actually inverted or not" isn't very hair-splitting to me, since it's hard to "split hairs" on an absolute yes/no question; for example, someone may be white and you're like "you're not black" and they're like "but i'm hella tan!" well that's nice, but they're still not black. a very inverted cork, that's nice, but still not gfull. but that's just me.
also the "double leg" part of matt r's avatar starts exactly where hans effing wikkeling looks like he starts his. and where did you come up with that precise requirement? a gainer with a fulltwist, taking elements from a non-cheat gainer and a back full, very clearly should be fully inverted. whereas a twist-dleg, just a twist ending with a doubleleg, has a lotta leeway stylistically on where you want to turn it into a dleg.

By the way, saying you have a trick in a list, without having proof showing the quality of that trick...is the same thing as doing a not-so-great quality trick in an avatar, and saying it's the "Real McCoy"...you don't have to have it perfect to say that you can do it...it just means it's something you have to clean up.
