i cant believe myself today! damn!!!
right now im on a 2 week school break and i decided i'd "trick my ass off" now, 4 days into the holidays, this happens.
I decided to go to the hillarys boat harbour where they have really nice trampolines- i paid for a 24 minute session, and i went with my mate.

Here i was pulling off loads of continuous backs, fronts and doing wicked gainers, arials ect having a jolly ol' time. Seeing there was only little kids and my mate who pretty much isnt a tricker, he just does kicks and bo-staff crap, i felt that i was the best there, however, i was hoping to see someone more advanced. Then some kid, around 13-15 yrs old pulls off a double backflip. He, noticing that i have fair ammount of skill, said i should go for it and it wasn't that hard. I asked him about his past experience and he said he use to do gymnastics, however these were his first doubles.

Firstly i said no, seeing last time i went for a double front i landed on my head, but he kept insisting i try. Then, my ego got the better of me. I went for it and my head skimmed the tramp- no harm done, but it was scary as hell. Then i went for it again, this time jumping harder and tucking greater, it was looking quite good, i took out my legs then "CLICK"! " my foot felt numb, however i hav that feeling that if i would move it, it would be pretty intense pain.

I then was lying on the tramp for like 5 mins, my friend checked up on me in an instant, i told him to keep going, 5mins after that the staff finally checked up on me lol, i told him i just rolled my ankle, cos i didnt wanna make a scene. i then rest my ankle on the frame padding then some fat little kid walked up to me and sed some jiberish..."what??" then he started jumping on my trampoline, moving the padding i was resting my ankle on...that was really frustrating.

But to wrap things up, this may well mean the end of my tricking for a while and definately my holidays, and theres even a possibility i broke my ankle... lets pray this isnt the case  as for the sampler i was making this holidays, i geuss i'll have to cut it short. oh well still got pretty good footage, and i'll hav to use my friend pc to edit it on cos my pc crashed yesterday :eh: havnt had much luck the past 2 days, but im still in high spirits, and i'll bank my energy so my comeback will start with a bang.

But for the meantime, my ankle is well swollen and doesnt hurt TOO much to move side to side, but up and down is extremely painful, so its really hard for me to walk.

Also, with my discription, wat does it sound like ive done? see who guess right  i'm going to the doctors tomoz. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hey that sounded and looks(the pic) exactly like my last injury. Hahaha. NICE! I must tell you though....I stayed off of my ankle(no tricking) for about 8 to 10 weeks. Still months later....my ankle is finished. I mean I can't do anything without my "lace-up" ankle brace. I can't have any type of lateral rotation....ooh the pain. I'll tell ya, you'll always take your ankle for granted...until you get that serious injury......WTF!?!?!

Oh wait.....you're only 16!!!! Geez kid, you'll be doing those dub backs soon enough. Gahhh

Fuck!

Aaahhh nooooo!

I still have massive bruises where I sprained my ankle last summer.

Bit contoversial advice, but do some really light stretching, enough to stop your ligaments healing back like wood, it'll fuck you up for good otherwise.

Yet another reason for my belief that double-backs are a stupid fucking move.

That injury sucks dude. I was gonna PM you and see if you wanted to do some tricking sometime in this 2 week break (I'm off from uni too). Bummer. Well, you're young and you should recover well.

PM me when you're recovered, possibly by your mid-year holidays.

-yeah, ive only just now realised how much i took it for granted, this is my first genuine injury during my tricking 'career'. i would never had thought i could come out with an ankle injury on a tramp session.

-my doctor recommended some to do some light stretches like suggested, skywalker

-yuen, we will catch up on the next holidays, im proabably more dissapointed than you are...

-And yeah, i did land on the wrong side of my foot slim. Not recommended

Shit man, that looks (and sounds) damn painful. Heal up and take it easy! Don't cut your rest short!

That is a nasty ankle you have there mate. Hope it heals fine and that you're back into the game ASAP. Rest up, do stuff you are supposed to do outside of tricking and then come back stronger than ever.

Stay safe, keep safe and rip some insane tricks when you're back!

something very similar happened to me about a year ago. i never went to a doctor for it; i also didn't walk on it for the next week. it regained it strength some time ago of course, but bending it to its maximum upwards still hurts. i empathize with you.
my advice is, don't trick on it untill it's definately healed. don't rush to get back to tricking; that would risk permanent damage.
