Fuckin' hell, so i'm finally really getting back into tricking after the unpleasant 3 month shitfest of broken bottle world, surgery world, limping world, rehab world and regaining physical fitness world and I was out doing some shit today. Please advise on the following: (6 gifs, normal and slo-mo)

My aerial. Last time I posted this I got pretty much all of you saying it was fine and you loved it. The problem is that after practice practice practice i'm still having trouble getting totally vertical and it's really impeding me from transitioning into a brandy (and down the line an aerial-switch). Once I invert I pull the left arm foward but I can't get my shoulders or hips to twist fast enough. What are some approaches you guys had to doing that?

My btwist. Okay, this is about as good as I had it before crutch world came to be. Sadly while I was tricking this was the one I videod and the one I did before it felt perfect. I know, I don't stall at all and that first leg doesn't come out to the side it just comes straight up. Didn't dip very well either. I'm pretty almost getting these well but is there anything you guys want to add?

My Cheat720. I'm ashamed I havn't already got this, I just never spent much time on it.. pretty sad for a Taekwondo instructor 3 months of his 3rd dan. But with this one I feel totally fucked. I'm popping that kick out and almost keeping the balance but all the angles seem wrong. Do you guys lean back on this? Or do you try to keep your body as upright as possible for the spinning? Answers to that and any other comments would help.
Thanks to any helpers.
Did you mean to say Jacknife instead of Cheat720...?

dude, you got nice tricks. If you believe they're not good tho, just drill them until they satisfy you. All three of those tricks, I have the exact same, except worse. Just drill man, drill!!!!! haha..even though you really don't need to, it never hurts.

If he did that, he would get flamed like hell.

Nope... I just can't tighten the legs enough. As you see I never fully kicked out my right leg so it can't be a Jacknife... at least not a good one. Plus, I put my hand down!!!! AHHHH!!!
And yeah, I'd deserve that flaming!!!

You're too kind. Man, I think i'm just a fucking perfectionist. I go out, trick and get depressed because I can't get a move to look exactly right. I think should start smoking weed and chill the fuck out! But thanks for the compliment dude. I shall be drilling much more these days.

yea, just be chill with tricks man. If they don't seem perfect now, they will be later on. I gots lots of tricks that are far from my liking, but I like them enough to just do them. It's what's fun about tricking, and besides when you fuck around sometimes good shit happens(like accidently learning a new trick:tongue: )

Your aerial looks like a super inverted b-kick. Try throwing your back leg up directly behind you instead of turning to the side like a "trickster aerial" (ugh, what a horrible term).
also, for your cheat 720, try to stay upright. You lean back like fuck and it's probably not helping. It's probably also why it looks jacknife-esque. If you work on it you could probably differentiate the two and have a sweet cheat 7 and a nice jacknife.
nice going anyway. :good:

First of all, congratulations on getting better and it's amazing how you've managed to keep such good tricks after three months of non-tricking-ness.
1) Your aerial looks fine. I would just advise straighter legs, and, to be extremely picky, pointed feet. As for improving inversion, I'd look at the path your head takes: maybe altering it's path might help. I'm a little stuck there though on what to say, because an aerial is never completely inverted (look at Juji's aerial from the front in his narrated tutorial).
2) B-Twist
It looks as though your legs aren't spinning as fast as your upper body: simply a matter of whole body co-ordination. You need to focus on getting that landing leg over and around at the same time as your upper body.
3) I can't advise on your Jacknife/Cheat 720 (whatever) as I can't do one myself, but I would say think about your hips. Where should they be facing and at what angle? I'm sorry I can't answer that question - maybe someone else can?
Well done though mate - looking good!

with your btwist make sure that when you take off your knee isn't behind your ankle.
as you enter the move you should plant your foot heel then toe (facing forwards), as you go from planting heel to toe your knee should bend slightly (not going in front of ankle). Once you have planted your toes you should snap your knee backwards whilst lifting back leg up as high, fast and hard as you can. As you snap your knee backwards you should start to bring your chest up (I say up, it should be facing floor but you will feel like the back of your shoulders are pushing into the sky) , this will increase height. Now when you take off your back foot should be as high as it can go and you should feel it power upwards and help you with the spin. If you are still struggling to get height then kick that foot up to a higher point (whilst airborn) before twisting.

Thanks for all that help dudes.
Hmmm, alpha7158, good advice. Watching that gif makes me cringe at how my shoulders and arms just stay still like i'm a fucking dodo! I will be sure to take your advice and get more height... but I like I said, that was about the shittest btwist I did yesterday.
Cheat720. Yeah, I have to develop it more upright and I think i'll take my current motion and try to mold it into a jacknife.
As for the aerial... the day I get that fucking thing as inverted as Juji's in his exampler (And yes Shikayo is right, even Juji is actually totally "inverted", I just mean getting the legs perpendicular to the ground)... well, i'll get it on video and go fucking nuts.

good advice alpha! in addition to that, try throwing your shoulders a little more for a faster spin. kind of like a hook punch  . and it would appear that youre opening up kind of early. just some observations for the btwist.
aerial is pretty nice..try throwin the leg more behind and up instead of sideways like dragonic mike said.
that would be a sweet jacknife if you fully extend your legs. if you want a cheat 720 just take the half-ass kick in the middle away. then that shit will be the sex. haha..drill drill drill.
nice tricks!

Alright man, I'll give you some tips with that btwist of yours. You don't use your arms much at all. Lift those arms up on the takeoff and then when you go to wrap, punch across your chest. Also your huge setup is doing nothing but hurting you. The more distance you take with that setup the more distance you have with your btwist. Which isn't so good. You can do that same setup, just don't go so far. It causes all your momentum to go forward and not upward. So when you takeoff lift everything up, not out. Then twist. Good Luck!
