I've always been horrible at back handsprings, kicks, and spins, which are like what - three tricking 'fundamentals', right? I guess it's just my bad luck, but I'm sure with a little hard work I can improve my style, and master these moves. But I'll need some help, because I've already watched dozens of videos, including my own. This time my question is about spinning. I can't get myself to twist while flipping. I can't get the motion required to complete a back full, if that's what it's called. Here's a video I recorded today:

I can complete a little over a 540 degree rotation from a standing jump (without a flip - just jumping straight up and landing on my feet again). So, I understand the kind of motion I need for a basic twist in the air. The problem is, I can't get this motion to come out while I'm doing a backflip. Anyone have any tips!

Thanks guys!

I recommend working a roundoff tuck and layout first. then attempting to full out of that.

Tartan pj's has better info on the tech than me.

full twist isnt that hard..but its dangerous if you dont know what youre doing (personal experience). make sure you have a good layout. the proper way to do it would be to start as a layout. once your upside down is when you twist. DONT twist off the ground. this'll give you problems later. definately get real comfortable with layouts. the twist is all in the hands and shoulders. keep your body tight. good luck.
