hey guys, i'm getting close to this move, the only problem i find is that i can't land with my chest high, i mean, i drill my head into the ground, why is that? :

try to land with both legs at the same time after cartwheel and maybe a little tuck would help also. having cart-front would help too

i whas thinking about looking to my toes when jumping, that way i'll go straight up instead of forward, but i don't know for sure

it's a pretty standard trickster cartwheel-full, maybe a lil more inversion :p

try cartwheel like some sorta sideways roundoff
you can also try to lose flexibility so you can land on both legs at the same time after cartwheel :P

True.
*shrugs shoulders*
BUT I WANT IT ALL!!!!!

I tried an Atwist today. Not too bad. I had to put my hands down, but I got around alright I guess for a first try. There's only one little problem.
I don't know how to aerial. I mean, I can 'trickster' aerial, but not the 'gymnast' kind. Does this matter much?

yes, you need a perfect aerial imo to have a nice atwist

eehm.. you see when you lift and are going for your twist, you want to change direction and almost change position with your head and feet... kinda

keep my shin to my chest and look to my toes would help?

GARGH!

DO NOT DO A SIDEWAYS ROUNDOFF FOR THIS MOVE!!

you dont need to do it at all! Doing a cartwheel means you can exectue the technique properly, a cartwheel is also ALOT faster than a roundoff and carries WAY more momentum in the right way for this move.

heres a gif of mine.

haha, that squiggly line diagram actually made perfect sense to me! :punched:

dont know about the toes-watching thingy but yeah i think that keeping your shin to chest would help...

rocketbaz
Apr-10-07, 01:46 AM
NO! DO NOT DO THIS. DO NOT DO THIS AT ALL!

gaaaaaaaaargh dont change it to a roundoff just to make it easier :bad:

So true. that is the BEST way of DESTROYING a cart!!!:dead:

ok when comparing that to mine, TKD andy

i need lots more height!

TKD_Andy
Apr-10-07, 02:43 AM
you get aall the height from the cartwheel.

try and split the legs as much as you can and do the cartwheel AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

ive got a couple of other tips but i have to go and get the train to go trick with shengoikee and pete_man_man so i havent got time! PM me later and ill send them to you :good:

land your CARTWHEEL so that you are facing the direction you came from, not side on
