im starting a new diet program that includes me eating 6 times a day
so its kinda like
1. 1-2 cups of fruit ( i go to school so no time to make breakfast)
2. im not sure this is where i need some help
3.salad w/ a small amount of dressing and maybe some grilled chicken
4.pre workout shake
5. dinner ( i cant really make a full decision because my mom cooks at the same time i would be making something)
so i just try to steer clear or to many carbs or junk
6. some kind of protein intake
i'll also try to be drinking
6 liters of water a day
any suggestions or comments from anyone would be appreciated positive or negative
thanks alot
First off, eat breakfast. If you have to get up earlier, do so. Breakfast should consist of some complex carbs (such as oatmeal) and protein. This is to guarantee a good start to your day and it will make a huge difference in the long run. Your lunch should be a cooked meal as well if possible.
For the dinner I say just take what your mother cooks, if it is post workout anything besides pure junk food will do. If the meal does not fill your needs then complement with something. Your carb intake post workout is pretty much your most crucial point to ingest carbs of the day, this is to fill your glycogen depots.
Instead of thinking in cups and ounces, think in liters and grams. It makes it easier for everyone.

Wow 6 meals a day thats pretty intense, I'm a 3 meal a day person I usually do an omlette and oatmeal for breakfast. Or a bowl of cheerios and a some fruit salad of some sort.
In between lunch and Breakfast I usually have a snack probably a granola bar Since Im in school I usually eat what the bake shop is serving which contains alot of carbs. Usually in between lunch and dinner I eat a light sandwich then whatever my mother cooks for dinner
which is usually Chicken, patatoes and some kind of veggies
You people have horrible diets.

I ate eight equally big meals per day during my days of thunder... Now I'm back to six...
A easy way of thinking of it is to take your daily calori intake and divide it with six... Supplying your body with proteins and carbs every third hour of your life as you're awake, not just eating a few apples and count them as a meal. 1-2 cups of fruit alone for breakfast is a horrible idea, you need proteins...

what are you goals? by your diet i would say your trying to lose weight otherwise you would want a decent amount of carbs to power you through the day
I used to eat 6-8 times a day before I got a job it sucks now :( I'll be lucky if I get 5! :O

It would still be beneficial for your metabolism to spread your calories throughout the day... Avoid "big lump meals"...

I'm a country hick so I eat like a country hick lumber jacks. Meals are huge and they need to be by the time I'm done with my morning chores and my first leg of the school day anything I had before has been depleted so I try to eat healthy but still have enough in my system to provide me the energy and nutrients I need in the day.
I'm basicly a work horse I work contruction like jobs so it's pretty intense.

Yeah most people that think they're eating big really aren't haha. Actually my meals and diet in general rather suck unless I'm really focused on lifting. They go hand in hand but if I stop lifting for a peiod of weeks/months/etc I get out of habit with diet as well. Son of a bitch. Discipline!

It's a pretty damn big bowl of cheerios it's more like having 3 or 4 normal bowls. But I could be just thinking it's big because I'm short who knows.

Kitosho dude do you watch that show lazytown ha the kids I baby sit watch it. Sportikus Owns lol....Back on Toppic Meat is good and very full of protine I think a meal should always consist of some form off meat. Alot of Veggitarians have to add protine supplements because veggies can't make up for alot of things meats gives you.
Good Observation man
I don't even train currently, but my diet is like:
Breakfast: 2 eggs, cup of egg whites, 2 slices of bread, 2 slices of black pudding, tin of beans, tin of tomatoes, spinach, tea, banana.
Lunch: Typical cafeteria crap, e.g. chili and rice, lasagne, fish and potatoes, etc. + vegetables + tuna salad + 2 bread rolls with olive oil or butter + fruit salad + pint of milk.
Dinner: Red meat + potatoes or bread + vegetables + olive oil or butter + pint of milk.
Before bed: 500g or so of cottage cheese or whey/casein shake in milk + olive oil or butter.
Edit: Oh yeah, and I also take about 6 grams of fish oil.

Fish Oil...is that like a Cod Liver Oil or something?
You people have horrible diets.
This coming from a 15 year old boy who lives in mommys basement and probably doesn't have enough money to buy foods on his own is hilarious.
