Since lots of people ask for whey recipies i figured what the hell, lets make a tpoic.
Ive tried a few things, some good, some god aweful.
Recepies were made with 1 scoop of regular non-flavored whey powder
Liquids
1. Whey with water
Prety terrible, but its possible to get down if you like the flavor of your whey, i wouldnt recommend this method of consumption
2. Whey in milk
Less terrible, but it kind of makes it taste like the milk has gone bad unless its chocolate or something, id recommend trying it and forming your own opinion
3. Whey in orange juice
I found this method masked the taste rather well if you got a nice big glass of OJ. Once again it kind of makes it taste like its gone bad, but not as much so as the milk method, If you like orange juice, youl probably enjoy putting your whey in it.
4. Whey in a fruit shake
My fruit shake consists of, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, a banana, and orange juice for consistancy and flavor. After i put the whey in it, it tasted like i just put in 3 more bananas, so if you like bananas and pink drinks, go for it, otherwise, stay far away.
5. Whey in no name juice mix from concentrate
Excluding OJ because it was mentioned earlier, I found this method rater good for concealing the taste. but it was harder to mix in the whey so you get chunks every now and then but it doesnt effect taste enough to matter.
fruit punch - rather good, could taste a bit of the whey but not too much
lemonade - Ok, nothing special, try it if you want
Peach juice - This was by far the best liquid i ever tasted, exactly like pineapple juice for some reason, oh well
Solids
1. Whey in chilli
Not going to say i recommend this one, it was thought up on a whim when i was looking for a snack at about 11:30 pm. It tasted like something was horribly wrong with it and by the end of it i was almost sick, so... stay away from things thought up on a whim at 11:30
2. Whey in pancakes
Now this is probably my favorite way to take whey as it masks the flavor perfectly, and if you can still taste it, which you probably wont anyway, you can just put on more syrup, not very nutritious but it works. I use premade pancake mix so im kind of cheating, but all i have to do is put a scoop of whey in the pancake mix and then just make pancakes as per normal pretending i havnt done anything different at all. Works every time
3. Whey in an omlette (aka. the wheymlette)
Prety simple, take your eggs and whatever else you want to put in an omlette and put it in a cup so you can mix it all up, once its all mixed, put in the whey and mix it some more. The taste prety much disappears, plus you have extra protein from those delicious eggs as well.
4. Whoatmeal by Rahf
Take the raw oats in a bowl, mix the whey with milk and then pour it in there. Nice slow digesting protein for the day. With chocolate flavour it's bloody awesome.
Those are all the recipies i can think of now, feel free to add your own in a simmilar format wether you liked it or not. You can also add cooking instructions if you feel inclined to do so.
