1. What is the difference between whey and creatine?
2. Has anyone tried the products: Cell-tech, nitro-tech and mass-tech. If so what are they like?
3. What are some good protein products you have tried and tested?

Creatine supplies energy to muscle cells. Whey is a supplement, there's like, protein in it.

personally i dont like to buy flavoured whey, its too expensive. I like to buy it unflavoured in bulk (usually 10kg).

For UK'ers heres a pretty good supplement site

Thanks alot! ive been taking whey for about 4 months and just wondered if creatine is a good investment so wondered what the difference was. I also bought some nitro tech today but i wont start using it till im thru with my old tub of whey. Is it as good as it says on the pack?

Seems you bought some overpriced protein if you ask me. I wouldn't spend extra cash on fancy brand names mate. Stick with the cheaper alternatives, they work as well. Don't buy into the extreme ads these things have, they really are not all that different.

Trial and error and one learns something new everyday.

I would stop the whey if you don't really know what it's for, what to use it for, etc. until you do your research. Not to be a dick, I just don't want you wasting your money which is what they want ;) In your first post you ask the difference between protein and creatine then say you've been using protein for 4 months. Just keep researching then spend your money wisely otherwise it's a waste :)

Haha its not like i havent done the research im doing 3 A-levels in science and understand how protein works and when to use it and im getting huge gains from it. I just dont understand the science behind what creatine is and how it helps build muscle and wanted someone to explain.

You could just google this crap and find it all in 5 seconds. T/T is not the world's resource for answers to basic questions like that. It can be answered here yes but why of all places do you want to ask such questions? I mean people besides you do it all the time, and it's stupid.

Don't act like you've researched either basically obviously you haven't. You can find all this out easy without having to wait for an answer for someone here.

Also, that whole question with the nitro-tech "is it as good as it says on the pack?!"

I mean that's plain retarded. They're trying to sell it to you, do you think they're going to label it as "average" or "below the rest?" Obviously you're a big sucker for believing claims you read. They want your money and the more you waste, the better for them.

Yea he's right you could have googled it instead of asking......anyways I would suggest whey protein because it's simple to take and comes in many differet flavors (some protein products only have one flavor and it tastes like shit). I also heard good things about muscle milk.

Wtf? In America we learn what creatine is in introductory biology classes ha ha, wrap your "3 A-levels" around that one.

if one of his A-levels is biology, then he should certainly know what creatine is. Maybe he is doing Social Science or something..

A-levels are a joke anyway.

If a protein brand only has one flavour then yeah, it probably tastes like shit. That's why you go for what people recommend, you buy it in smaller amounts to get a taste for it and then you can buy a bigger bulk.

I have not heard anything about this "muscle milk", it sounds like a crazed ad for concentrated milk (Gainomax!!). Consume normal milk.

Yeah the A levels are in physics, biology, maths and chemistry but they have never mentioned anything about creatine in biology. Also there is no need to be rude to me or make stupid sarcastic jokes just because i asked a simple question which you could obviously answer within about 2 minutes due to your obvious superior intelligence. The forum is a place for asking questions and getting help not for bashing people just because you dont like their choice of questions.

Your biology classes must have focused on other things then. Creatine and ATP should definitely be a part of it. Your first question is also something that has been discussed endlessly on this forum and all forums that could have anything remotely in common with at least whey (not necessarily creatine).

As to your feelings of being insulted: This is TT, not necessarily a forum for getting questions answered. When your questions have been answered the rest of the forum usually bash your ignorance and/or talk about something else.

Well you're in an A-Level course for bio AND chem... this should at least give you the basic knowledge to realize that the -ine ending indicates an amino acid or protein. So the difference between creatine and protein? NOTHING!

Beyond that, why should we bother to write AGAIN what is easily available to you. Forums are a place for discussion, not answering the question of "What, how and why is WHEY?" (http://www.trickstutorials.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17389&highlight=whey) which can be found with a simple search (http://www.trickstutorials.com/forum/search.php).

The other two are irrelevant questions as they are seeking opinions and results differ from person to person.

my favorite brands of whey: optimum nutrition, syntrax, dymatise. all can easily be purchased at an online retailer. creatine is also cheap and can be bought in bulk. dont get that fancy brand name shit, its so hyped up and your paying extra for fancy containers. here is a link to some generic stuff. http://www.nutraplanet.com/category/75/list.html all good quality. nutraplanet is an amazing company, i highly recommend them
