What will happen: He will argue with himself on whether he should bulk or cut and he will spiral between the two eventually leading to a waste of time.

cutting is always good.

Apr-27-07, 11:29 PM
stronger, or bigger? There is a difference.

You can't put on muscle mass while loosing fat. Well, maybe some people can, but you aren't one of them.

i want to get stronger...

if anything id rather be cut, than be massive. I cant be massive anyways

It didn't occur to you that this could be J.B on another account? Seeing as he got banned.

On topic: Die!

You're not going to become incredibly muss in a year. Hell you're so small you probably won't become muss in two years! So stop acting like a spineless worm and start bulking. You're going to put on fat while bulking.

Considering it's been like a year since you asked this question the first time, I'd say at least a year

Also hurry up and buy some steroids because you are too fickle to choose between bulking and cutting and too stupid to apply any science or information you may be presented to on this forum

ok so in oder to get stronger, i need to eat more (get fat) so eat more fast food? eh?

and then work out alot?

i have gotten weaker (i think, atleast bench press wise) over the last quarters (school) but i think its because i have been doing more endurance type exercises and shit and because i havent gained weight but i have lost some

yes, you need to eat more but not fast food. hey, i'll tell you a secret: fat does not equal more strenght:wink: . although you gain fat in a bulk, it is not your objective.

Bring some intensity to the gym with you. Based on your responses here, I can make an educated guess that you probably aren't snarling with rage while military pressing or shitting anvils while squatting. All other exercises of course have equally awesome effects. Some people have good genetics, some don't. Perhaps you don't. But most of the time the people that grow are those who just beat the shit out of themselves at the gym. Are you?

Do your own diet research. Oh, running sucks. Use fluorosulfuric acid instead :good: It's much more fun.

well depending on how my day goes, it really determines how i am while working out. If i had a shitty day and im pissed at everyone ill go hard, if im tired as fuck and just bored and not feeling productive i usually go light weight and half ass shit

In the gym you go hard or go home, there is no in between otherwise it's just a waste of time.

Bboy_Jon
Apr-29-07, 05:28 PM
alot of it has to do witht he people who u work out with, alot of times (my partner works out at real gyms, i just work out at the school one) hes just like ehhh im tired...

ex: ill want to do 8 reps of like 280 on squats or somethin, and hed be like nahhhh just leave it at 200 or somethin...

Bboy_Jon
Apr-29-07, 05:35 PM
instead of creating a new thread, i figure ill just ask here

say im doing like 3 sets of 3-4 reps, do i stay on the same weight? or do i increase? what? like say im just doing 135 3 times, would i increase every set or just do that same weight?

Steve
Apr-29-07, 06:27 PM
Here's what my training is like:

1 set of 1 rep, 1 weight

If he goes with that attitude you either tell him to get a grip or just give him the finger and workout on your own. If people depend on their partner so much that it determines whether or not you work out, well then you're not motivated enough.

Time to start becoming abit more independent boyo.

The original Q doesn't have a straight answer, the others identified that confusion.

In theory you could run sprints many times every day but if you ate enough food, never lose your precious (your body thinks, being unused to our age of prosperity) body fat.

On the other hand some guy who never exercises can show them just by starving himself (though he wouldn't have as much muscle to reveal).

do deadlifts, power cleans, and bent over rows actually help your abs?

is it mainly because they get your heart rate up?

Bboy_Jon
May-03-07, 02:27 PM
k so i want to do the 300 workout

25x Pull-up +
50x Deadlift @ 135# +
50x Push-up +
50x Box Jump @ 24” box +
50x Floor Wiper @ 135# (one-count) +
50x KB Clean and Press @ 36# (KB must touch floor between reps) +
25x Pull-up

except at that weight (135) i cant do 50 lbs, same witht he kb clean (10 reps for each arm wore my arms out)

so someone help me scale the workout down a bit. SHould i do less reps and more weight, or do the 50 reps and all that with less weight?

No it is because they work your abs. If you don't keep a tight core during those lifts you fail

also teh 300 workout sounds piss easy for anyone in relatively decent shape, just from looking at it it seems like only the pullups would be tough for some people

Steve
May-03-07, 05:27 PM
Deadlifts and power cleans will not get your abs to show, ha ha.

I can't believe you're still such a dumb shit about all this Jon. Even the articles on bodybuilding.com would be adequate. Why are you asking a bunch of deadlift crusaders why your abs aren't showing?

Bboy_Jon
May-03-07, 08:52 PM
btw sure, the workout isnt hard, if done with rest

the point of the workout is to do it, without resting at all

which would be a bitch

nah dude, that's the time you take to get huge biceps! it takes, roughly 9871242398498238947 years 2months, 7 days, 1hour and 9 minutes to get the abs to show.

Some quote on t-nation said that squats are the ultimate ab exercise.

I think it was by Chad Waterbury or something.

Another guy named Christian Thibedeau (sp) said that using a lat pulldown machine pulled to your shoulder to do 'reverse squats' works your hamstrings.

Isn't he awesome?
