On first thought, without knowing the background of the video, Id think it was a bad lay down 540 hook. I know a guy who does his 540 hooks very similar to that, and his kicks arent great, and all his first attempts looked just like that. Basically, nothing much man.

No, he's right. Just turning that extra half would complete the rotation because he's taking off upwards instead of chest down (like Btwist). He could level out a little more though...
