My weekly exercise plan is typically 6 days a week.
Monday=legs
Tuesday=chest
Wednesday=back
Thursday=shoulders
Friday=biceps
Saturday=triceps
If I am pressed for time (such as during finals week, or if i missed a day due to sickness), then I combine biceps with back, and triceps with shoulders.
Each typical day contains 3-4 exercises, 3-5 sets for each. With my big movements, I try to break 10 reps with my working weight each time. Once I can, I move up in weight for my last set. Smaller movements are done the same way but I must break 12-15 reps before increasing the weight.
I do not care about how many pushups I can do.
No, pushups are not that great, unless you really like doing them-in which case, be careful about smashing your boner against the floor when you are performing them.
I don't do push-ups. My program is going to be revised so I'll have to get back to you on that.

Monday- Bench, squat, standing military, dips
Wednesday- Squat, Bent over row, deadlift, pullups
Friday- Bench, Squat, Standing military, dips
All are 3x5
I do end up doing pushups, usually tuesdays and thursdays to increase my max. I do them because I have pft's a few times a year (JROTC) so I like to work that up. Thats why the pullups are in my workouts as well. I do situps at the end of each workout (weighted) as well.
I was wondering how my workouts are as far as groupings, and if I should put different exercises on different days.
