View Full Version : My trainingstuff..
I just read that thread about the guy doing 200 push-ups, and I thought it was a good way to train.
So I wondered if my training is good.
I usually train (if I even could call it training) just before I go to bed.
Takes like 10 minutes.
And I usually train my abs and arms.
So one day I train upper-part of abs, next day oblique-part and the third day lower-part.
And sometimes I randomly do push-ups to work my chest and use manuals to train arms.
Upper-part: about 70 90 degree (with feet on a chair) sit-ups or just normal sit-ups.
Oblique: About 70 Sit-ups facing the oblique-part.
Lower-part: About 70 leg raises?
Push-ups: As many as possible on knees with arms spread wide.
Manuals: About 50 with 7,2 kgs/15,8 pounds
I just wondered is this good training at all?
I'm ready to get slaughtered.
When I started training I was aiming for the washboard, but still haven't got it. Think I only saw results in the beginning.
My bodyfat% is too high to get a visible one though.(about 11%)

Is it possible for you to train more than 10 minutes, and at a different time (other than right before bed)?

Try doing your situps with weight on your chest which will help if your trying to get visible, strong abs.
Pale Nimbus: Yeah probably.
JKarate: Maybe I'll try that!
On that other thread everyone was saying it's stupid to do 200 push ups a day. I know Thai boxers do shit loads of body weight exercises everyday and there big and strong. You will def' benefit from it.

No we don't. Proffessional thaiboxers don't do many BW excercises except for incline situps and pullups. Most training comes from extreme repetition of techniques on the heavybag and pads.
Honken I just mean't one muay thai fighter then :P It was on a documentary about short people in the UK 1-2 weeks ago and this one guy does 1000 push up and sit ups every day because his inscure about his height. He even tryed to beat the guinness world record for push ups in a hour. He was well muscley, so I think I will believe that push up do promote muscle growth, for once I have doubt in the TT members. I'm bascially replying to that other thread in this post.

Sure, they may be helpful to a complete beginner. They may be better than nothing in trying to gain size.
But, that's a pretty shitty reason to do them when you could easily follow proven methods for increasing size.
Just compare a sprinter to a marathon runner. Or compare a powerlifter to a world pushup champion.
Never doubt TT.

Oh, and to the original poster. What are manuals?
Hmm.. What I meant with manuals is dumbbells/weights..

Question. Why don't Pro Wushu teams make effort to get massive and bulky?

I love when people have such wonderful evidence supporting their claims.
Note: This post is both sincere and sarcastic, and it agrees and disagrees with Mateus.
I got 10 bucks on this going to at least 5 pages of pingpong chat regarding bw exercises, anyone wanna raise me?
