You need to put alot more power. It barely looks like you're trying. Its hard to try hard when you're scared(if you still are), but try harder and you should get it IMO
And in your backflip you lean back too much before takeoff.

i was trying hard, but i made a post a while back saying how my j-step was weak.
How do i improve my j-step? Run faster? take bigger steps? Also if i run faster, in the air i fall down because i have too much sideways momentum... how do i fix that?
You know how to block right? If not someone else will post a link probably

Try your backflip on a level surface rather than from a higher to lower one so you can focus on jumping UP more without having to worry about going back. Get a spotter if you need one and try tucking a little tighter. You've almost got it though. Just focus on those two things and you're G to G.

yeah i think what i was doing was kinda makin me focus on going backwards... ill try on one of those big mats next time.
Is there anyway for me to learn how to keep my head neutral and my back straight? I just cant seem to do it!

The problem with doing it on a big mat is that it absorbs your jump and kills your height. Try it on something that's not so cushiony so you can get a good jump.
Keep your head neutral by staring at something a little above eye-level. If you concentrate on jumping UP instead of back, your back should stay relatively straight. Of course, it needs to go back a little bit, but that should occur naturally from swinging your arms up during your jump.
Also, getting a spotter may help you to gain confidence in jumping up in case you can't break the habit of jumping back.

benzie box is the song, by MF Doom (i think)
anyway, what is really troubling me now is how do i get my moonkick more inverted? i can get the height and stuff, but it looks gays cause im getting no inversion. Even if i try to get more inverted, i can't.
How do i get more inverted?
okay with the backflip you should use your arms as much as you can whilst forcing your hips UP with the most power you can give. also like "the mayor" said try it on flat ground and you wont be so worried about having to travel backwards instead of up.
and i cant moonkick myself so i cant help there. whenever i try a moonkick i do a cork haha.

The backflip
1. In the first clip, are you looking backwards while going up? If so...don't do it Its bad!
2. You are travelling backwards alot. Go up, not back.
3. You need to swing your arms up! Throw them up as hard as you can!
