this is so goddamn frustrating that i might even stop doing them...
i cant get the lifting leg to be straight... the crappy thing is - i already think it IS straight when i do an aerial. :dead:
i think its a habit from doing crappy bkicks [i finally did a normal bkick just a half a year ago]...
got any ideas - how to straighten that leg?

Are you doing a running aerial or standing?
do you do any setup? (hook, bkick setup etc)
Do you have a video?

My best bit of advice would be to straighten that back leg.

I think you're turning your head too soon, which is forcing your legs to bend as your hips twist... Look at the moment you lift your back leg off the ground, your head is already turned so that we can fully see your face, even before you leave the ground. Maybe try keeping your head and body straight-on for longer, until about half-way through your air-time...
OOOORRR, it could be that you're too sideways in general. Look at the direction your chest is facing while you're in the air. Its facing kinda towards the wheel of the bike thing for the whole time you're in the air. Really you should kinda either be facing in front of you right up until the quick twist, at which point you immediately face where you came from. This allows you to easily walk out of it with your legs straight, instead of having to tuck to get around like you're doing.
Fuck sake I am so bad at giving advice...

watch juji's tutorial
he's got the BEST aerial techn. EVER
anyway, it's easy
reach forward, lift leg up high, jump up, land
if you are flexible and strong it's just pratise , not more
just practice. force it straight...and always, if something is lacking. always go back to basics...so force a good cartwheel back into your system.

What's your flexibility? If you are flexible, you must only practise.

lol. that might be the reason why you're leg is bent. if you're confined in a room, sometimes, not all the time, your body might react and say this is a small room and just naturally contract that leg. but i dont no, thats just my 2 cents.

Try to stay high. lol. I mean, keep your upper body high.. That might help a little bit. And, maybe post a video of your cartwheel/1h cartwheel?
