I've been having this issue with my heels. Ever morning when i wake up, as soon as my feet hit the floor, my heels hurt. It feels like the pain is right around where my achilles tendon and the bone that is your heel meet. It used to be just in the morning with the first few steps. Now it feels like it is carrying over to my sprint. Anyone else have this problem?

I have had pain in my heel too and everything you said translated over to me except the location. I had pain where my heel met the arch. In my case I had plantar fascitis. With yours being in a different location it maybe a different issue. The Titanium ankles exercises helped me get over it, mostly because it stretched out the facia. Foot pain sucks man. Either way, look up fascitis and compare your symptoms.

Hahaha, I had this exact same issue too, not recently though. But I've also recently been doing an anus load of shin lifts too. So I'd try that out. :D

Could this be it?

Plantarfascitiis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plantarfasciitis)

Nah, I think what he means is more like a tight feeling. It just feels like while walking or kneeling a muscle/tendon on the lower backside of your heel is being slightly strained or stretched. It wasn't really ever a big deal for me though.

"The pain usually is felt on the underside of the heel, and is often most intense with the first steps of the day." -Wikipedia

Too similar to be a coincidence.

yup. but when I read the op I get the impression that he may be describing back part of the heel...like the part that would make contact with a hook kick. In Plantarfasciitis the discomfort/pain is in the center of the foot and it can be compared to the pain associated with stepping on a sharp stone and the resulting bruise. The other side of planterfasciitis comes from the deminishing of the pain with each step, because the fascia stretches itself out.

yeah it's the area of the hook kick. It is not too tedious right now except for the morning, but it is starting to ease into soccer.

I think Rahf is right. Most of the pain in usually in the point of insertion. That is where mine is. Thanks for the help. I guess i gotta get now shoes. DAMMIT!!

Does it sound anything like what I described? Just curious.
