Yup I'm back with a few more vids of my attempting to do stuff. I'll break the post into each cut and explain a few things about what i am doing. I was a bit sore for most of the session, so my moves weren't as big as they usually but the technique flaws are still there.

Vid Link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=olSZgLCl5qM

540- I'm landing this usually much more upright then what i did before. My main problem now is remembering to tuck my non-kicking leg and camber my kicking leg. However, is it alright to power threw it with a straight leg, because when I camber and try to kick through i lose a lot of my momentum and it ends up being under rotated and weak looking.

B-Twist- This move is coming along much much better, i think i understand the mechanics of the move fairly well, the problem I'm now having is knowing when to start opening up for my landing, right now I'm going purely by feel, and this is causing me to land 2 footed. Also, when i try to look forward to spot my landing, all i end of seeing is a blur, so this isn't much help to me.

Aerial-My usual aerial is marginally better the one in this vid, usually i tuck my arms back into my body, and I find that i get much better leg whip action this way. However, it is still not enough, even though i push up hard with my back leg, once i get into the air, my legs still start to trail and i end up not getting enough rotation.

Pop 360 Crescent- This trick confuses me. From the pop set up, i can spin between a 720 and a 900, though slightly off balance. But, as soon as i try to pull out a kick, it feels weaker then pie. Another thing that confuses me is getting good height out of the pop set up, I have one of the better verts in my school but still when i try this set up, i get no height at all. This i think is gonna hamper my progression to 720s and Gyros.

Back flip-The other trick thats marginally better on average, i use my arms a lot more during most of my attempts and i travel about a foot less backwards also my tuck is tighter, however i still feel like I'm going to far, and not getting high enough. The rotation is fine for me, its just the process of getting it more up then back confuses me, because when i try on my takeoff to throw my hips up, i lean back and that sends me backwards, what exercises/drills can i do to try to correct this.

Double Leg- Once again, i feel that it is the set up that is screwing me over on this move, i find that if i tuck my arms more i get much more rotation, however i have much less body control and i crash anyways. When watching Juji's tutorial he gets soo much more pop into this move, while i find, i get none. once i learn to pop higher, i Think i should be alright, but other then that is there any other flaws you can find?

Thanks a bunch for your help, hopefully I'll get these down by the end of summer.

It's my second (technically third) full on session on plyo, my second true time on plyo, i lost the ability to walk do to massive shin splints. What I usually do, is watch a couple of tuts on a trick, analyze the technique, then go outside and try the move a couple of times onto beanbags, then onto normal ground. If i'm with friends i'll get a recording and watch my technique. Then attempt to improve from that, so its not like its the second time I've ever gone out and tried the moves, and btw i've been tricking steady for about a month?

alright.

540-keep that leg straight, your kicking leg is bent as you kick over also, remember to chamber your non kicking leg. work on your tornados so its fast clean and powerful.

360cresent - dont hunch over when you kick, work on standing cresents too to work on your flexibility.

with all your other moves, you should really just try them on the floor, they wont hurt you very much and its also easier to give tips that way instead of the general tips.

btwist - to my knowledge you're not dipping, dipping will result in more air, which then will increase your chances of landing.

aerial - if you're doing them into the pit, try to over rotate them. try to kick up as you rise and try to kick down as you land. the thinking of the kicks will help you whip over. another tip on aerials is to lunge foward and then execute the aerial. another tip is get your leading leg as high as you can before jumping off your other leg.

dleg - juji has a great tutorial on this. but dont learn dleg into the pit. just stack those things up and just land them, even if you have to use those mats to help you over. thats really the easiest way to learn dlegs. or you can learn feilongs.

btuck - once again juji has a great tutorial on this. you're jumping back not up. remember to jump up and use your arms to rip your body upward and back. one important tip to remember is to hump the f'n air! it'll bring your hips up and around.

good luck.

Had another go at btwists again today, they look exactly the same except onto grass, but im still having the problem of landing on both feet as well as being rather hunched over, any ideas on how to fix this?
