what are causes for uneven shoulder? (excluding scholiosis and those others related to that) can it be from working out one side and causing it higher then the other? sitting down where one of ur elbow is on the desk causeing ur shoulder to elevate for a long session thus causing it to stay like that.

It's most likely a postural issue. You should definitely get it checked out, as it can lead to a lot of problems down the track.

Does it give you any discomfort or pain?

It's usually caused by muscle imbalances. It could be that you have a weak lower trap, or a tightened upper trap. It's also common with this problem to have a winged scapula, due to weak retractors.

Go and see either a physio, osteo or chiro

Something along the lines of:

"Stop being such a cheapskate! You want good advice, then you need to pay for it"

I'm neither a physio, osteo, or chiro... so I can't help you. My diagnosis could be completely wrong.

Quick note if you carry any sort of bag over your shoulder, wear it on both shoulders or alternate which...

It might be because of a tension located on just one side of your traps, many people have static tension due to somekind of "stress", alot of people, most people infact have their shoulders drawn way to high, static tension. You should feel your traps, if it feels a bit more tense, or if it/they are sore when you squeeze them it might be just because of that. You should try to relax and learn how to stay relaxed, in time you'd get "balanced" shoulders. Massage help.

This is just one possible reason, it might depend on something totally different, it's hard to say because I don't know you.

I would suggest above all strengthening your upper back because my unevenness is in part caused by extremely flexible lower back and a very tight and weak upper back.

Strengthen your entire torso and be specific about your upper back. Stretch often and don't neglect stretching your shoulders, pecs and back.

Also you need to consciously correct your posture all the time since it won't come by itself. Look yourself in the mirror, correct the faulty posture you've got and keep it that way using a minimal amount of effort.

hmmm...i kind of have uneven shoulders too, but i think it's probably because the right side of my abs is deformed or something...I probably should go check that out.
