So I just noticed Gary Ip does a really unique B-twist at 0:13 in this sampler
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rnh6tYX3rh4

Any tips on how to do a b-twist like that or is that even a b-twist?

Link fixed. but yeah it looks like some kind of raiz twist thingy with a b-twist takeoff

actually yeah, he is basically just doing a btwist/raiz hybrid.

Haha just ask towels. He used to do it all the time, only not on purpose, and it looked gay. Its fixed now though.

looks great
when you throw the leg up think of it like a raiz.
throw your head back en keep your back arched during the whole move.

There is absolutely nothing raiz-like about it in any way it would be executed haha.

These are disorienting. The thing you'll have the most trouble with when learning rodeo btwists is getting a stable one-footed landing.

The trick is all in the stall and how hard you kick your back leg. Get a very GOOD HIGH ARCHED butterfly KICK, and practice rotating while maintaining the same body shape. Modify as you see fit.

At 00:16 I do what inkrepid was talking about.

Do a btwist, bend your knees, arch you head and look the way you came. Is the gist of it. I couldn't get anywhere with it tho, ie unS/Table for me

I can do em, the double foot landing is the choice though, like Dave C says, it's very difficult to get a one foot landing.

edit: sorry, tips.... just drill your btwist until you are floating them and start the rodeo after you have kicked your leg up, that way you do not lose height on your twist.

Hmm this got me thinking, how about something like a btwist full? A butterfly twist, but you rotate on two axis...I guess it would look like something crossed between an aerial twist and a btwist. I vote sessh to try it to see if it's safe.

they are not too difficult, i was workin them a few weeks ago, the only thing about them is that they feel really weird, and u will prolly crash a good few of them before u land some, specially if u wanna actually grab.

just try to grab one ankle and kick your landing leg out
