To transition best into a jacknife, what's the best kick for it :
-chambered inside crescent ?
-non-chambered inside crescent ?
-whip kick ?
Or does it not matter.

and

Same thing, to transition into a jacknife : should the kick be done at 45 degrees? or can you actually get away with the wushu 540 (which is more like 90 degrees)

Lastly, what's your preference and what do you think it gives as in style ?

1) The best kick for the first kick would be a round kick. It allows you to turn your hips over real early, which makes the second kick much easier.

2) I would try to do a kick at 45 degrees, but if it was at 90, it would still be considered a jacknife if both kicks are there. That's really a question about style, which is your real personal preference.

3) My preference for jacknives would be two well defined kicks. Ben Brown and Anis have amazing jacknives.

i agree the best kick would be a round kick however i still do mine with an unchambered inside crescent =/ that was just the way my 540 is. what im saying is that u shouldnt change the way ur doing ur 540 as it probably wouldnt be as comfortable when u try a jacknife
