I don't know... If you can't do pullups then you are doomed.
What you can do is make the pullup easier by supporting your legs... Have them elevated, that's how I try work on 1 armed pulls.

Pull-ups (negatives) - If you cannot do any pull-ups, you should try "negatives". Negatives are half pull-ups. All you have to do is get your chin over the bar by standing on something or having spotter push you over the bar. Then, you slowly lower yourself all the way down - let your arms hang grasping the bar fully stretched. Keep your feet up and fight gravity for a count of 5 seconds. This will get your arms used to supporting your weight.
If you have access to a gym you can start by doing lats-pulldowns (http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/LatissimusDorsi/CBFrontPulldown.html) along with a
variation. (http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/LatissimusDorsi/CBRearPulldown.html)
As you increase the weight you can progressively attempt to do normal pull-ups.
thank you all.yours answers came very fast :) . I think I will deal with them (the pulls)
don't bother with the lat pulldown. Do negatives.

When I first started...I'd do MASSIVE ammounts of sets with 2-3 reps (as I couldn't do anymore anyway : /) Without letting myself struggle on them. 2 weeks later I was doing several sets of 7-10 reps a day. Underhand I mean, I still suck ass at overhand. : /

Do nagatives, and assisted reps.

Lat pulldowns are just fine, and better train concentric strength than doing negatives will. I just don't use em because I have a bar in my home and no lat pulldown machine, accessibility. That and you don't have to sit down. The sensation of swinging and being able to do knee raises and stuff is another plus latpulldons don't have, but for the purpose of the pull-up movement that's immaterial.

lat pulls are harder atleast for me
being >120 lbs i can do 15-20 pullups, but i can barely do lat pulls at 105 (i can get it like maybe 4-5 times but it hard as fuck)
but this thread isn't about what is harder. It's about how he can practice pull ups.....

Oh come on! We most likely have a new rock_ten here, except this guy is talking about pull-ups and the weight is even more sensible.

I don't understand this. You're probably using leg swings in the BW pullups I guess. Which isn't bad, I do that to get more numbers too. I just hate the sound the bar makes when it rotates and squeaks against the doorframe... Don't clip your fingernails or the skin around them too short or it's too painful to grip things!
