does anyone can gimme some opinions or advice on improving kicking power, especially sidekicks?

I usually do leg workouts (squats, deadlift stuff) and just kick the heavy bag and all. i was wondering if anyone has any other methods so i can have more options in my training, thanks

Yeah, just practice. Alot. Every day. All the time. Live your art, you'll improve.

to improve your kicking power...kick. A sandbag isn't bad for that purpose.

Practice slow kicks. Do tension kicks. Go the the motion of the kick really slow and keep your leg tensed. Your muscles should feel like they are about to explode. Do a lot of tension kicks in a row. Tension kicks give you power and speed.

Wrong.

Doing kicks slowly will not increase power.

For power, strike a heavy bag, just kicking thin air won't improve anything if you want to improve speed use focus pads and concentrate on the speed and accurancy of every kick. There are more detailed drills, however they are for not only certain kicks but alter depending on your delivery, so ask your instructor.

Check your technique. Seen guys who are -59kgs break 2 1/2 inches of red deel wood (which is hard shit). Most of the power in a side kick comes from your hips, and the thrust that comes from the twist.

You can kick a bag all day but if your technique is not perfect you'll be drilling imperfectly

Practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect
