I upgraded the forums everyone. It was a bit more intensive than I had anticipated. I had to wade through countless updated templates to make amendments that you guys will never see to preserve functionality. I also updated some counters (some of which took several hours!) / For your patience I decided to reward you guys with a new feature. You can now embed youtube or google video into your posts.

[ gvideo="3011321663930966226" ]Paul Gilbert - Scarified[ /gvideo ]*Just remove the spaces in the BB tags and voila. Note that the videos are buggy when you preview the post, but it works when you simply post. Finally, clicking anywhere in the video box other than the 'PLAY' buttons will take you to the youtube or google video website. Overall, works like a champ though. Here is the result of each:
DO NOT EMBED VIDEOS IN YOUR SIGNATURE OR I WILL RUIN YOU! :ogre:

Simply because it will be a little annoying. :ogre:

How do you put the video titles in the red part of the embedded video?
wow, awesome, embedded video will make things both interesting and effectual.
:D

EDIT: trickerd, just read the code:

Holy crap, that's annoying! I didn't think of that... And there isn't anyway to currently disable it.

For the moment, yes. Seems like others who have this feature on their boards seem annoyed with it too, so it will probably be fixed in the near future.
Good job! :good:
Must have been a pain in the ass to work that long. :dead:

Hm, although I don't like youtube or streaming videos much in general (for when I actually want to save the vid and view it in good quality), this can come in handy for the 'tips for your tricks' section especially. Cool feature :good:

Thanks Juji! I have seen this feature on various other forums I frequent and I had been hoping we would get the option here on TT soon. :good:
what are bb tags anyone?
bb tags are what you use to quote someone [ QUOTE=Tristan ]Your mom! That's what we're doing![ /QUOTE ] or to put an image in your post [ IMG ]http://goatse.cx[ /IMG ] (only without spaces), the new feature allows you to embed a Youtube video by copying the bb tags in Juji's example, put the web addy of your youtube video in the middle and make sure there are no spaces in the brackets and viola your video is embedded!
I was confused about this as well because Youtube gives an "embed code" that you can copy and paste in MySpace or whatever and I kept trying to do it that way but it wouldn't work... then I went back and read the directions. :ogre:

...what are bb tags anyone?
Bulletin Board tags. Tags of code specific to bulletin boards, to allow you to do quotes, smilies, link to other pages or files, etc.
They're handy 'cause a lot of forums don't allow HTML code in their posts, which can be annoying if you wanted to make a hyperlink to something.
