Week 1
Flat Bench Press 3x7
Horizontal Rows 3x7
Military Press 3x7
Lumberjack Squat 3x7
Barbell Curls 3x7

Week 2
Incline Bench Press 3x7
Upright Rows 3x7
Dumbbell Shoulders Press 3x7
Back Squats 3x7
Close-Grip Bench + Skull Crusher 3x7

Thoughts? Critiques? My main goal is to put some on a few pounds of muscle and develop a fair amount of strength for combat sports. The idea is that I switch off between weeks 1 and 2. Also, keep in mind I like simple, no-nonsense workouts. I don't like getting caught up in millions of different little exercises.

Try to better balance the push/ pull movements.

So maybe add another pulling movement for the upper body, like chinups. Also add a pulling movement for the lower body, like romanian deadlifts, or hyperextensions.

are you doing them each once per week or what... or do you mean "workout 1" and "workout 2" instead of "week"?

I would do each workout 3 x a week (Monday, Wendesday, Friday)
