Alright, the gathering is still probably actually going but I had to leave early to finish some fucking work. But before I do that I'm posting this here so we all have a nice long month to prepare for the start of July.
Again, first Saturday OR Sunday of the month. Somewhere central and many people showed up about 1-2 hours later than we thought so we'll make the next one around 1pm?
Locations: UWA (again?), Wherever the hell some of you guys were tricking in the city (I like that idea a lot), Cottesloe beach (I say fuck that but then again I'm the retard who stepped on a broken bottle at a beach)... or if we could possibly get an open gym?
RaRe, what's the chances of you getting the place you work at to open up? My reasoning being that we were a bit lucky with weather today but the grass was all fucking wet and slippery and duck shitty.

Tricks was good... but that grass was slippery and hard, made websters impossible!! I dont really care what time we trick. Whatever everyone else decides should be fine :)
i could get a gym session but it will cost $$$ but if we get as many as we had today would be easy.
Btw, next place must have dry grass, maybe we should try kingspark, our team has been there before, it was pretty good.
The sterling gardens is ok, but shit for parking, impossiable to find parking.

Made some progress, Jacknife attempt although not awesome did show me how close I am, Grandmasterswipe is also well within my reach! We have to do this again really soon. man that gathering was awes, good to actually round up all the ppl, as i thought though coz it was the first gathering there wouldnt be many tricks going on, altho we did manage to get sum stuff down. next gathering shall be awesome. we def need to get sumhere that isnt so slippery. did ppl trick heaps more b4 me and mike got there???

Yeah Lloydy, we were tricking for a while before you, RaRe and about 10 other guys showed up. We had a circle going for the better part of an hour or so.
RaRe, if it's possible to get indoors then I don't think so many of us will give a fuck on travelling time and I'm happy to give a lift to three or four lucky lads up North.
And I'm quiet happy to pay.

lol thats hilarious coz rare was there like 11:30 and he was like at the clocktower waiting lol. we called after the game finished and hes like where are they lol. shame i couldnt have gotten down there earlier coz i could have done with some half decent footage, coz what we got when i got there was rather terrible, just 50mins of us talking and shit :tongue:
next gathering should be much better tho
if any1 has any footage pm me it and ill start making up a sampler. got lots of spare time on my hands atm coz of unemployment and it gives me an excuse to not study for my TAFE exams :agony:
also for the next gathering or one later we should go to atwell :P a) its within walking distance for me and b) grass there is awesome, ask any of the raiders lol

the grass at cott is pretty uneven, im not a huge fan of it. Indoors for the next few gatherings would probably be optimal seeming were fighting a losing battle against the weather with its rain and muddifying the ground and such.
only problem with our gym is that is pretty far south, so u northies r gonna hav quite a trek down here

I see good three choices: Yings (south), Jungle gym (north), Challenge Stadium (~middle)
I emailed challenge a while ago and they seemed open about hiring the gym, but it never got further than that.

Have it at UWA or are we going Beach Tricking or what? I would like it if we could have it somewhere easy to get to and Im not sure if I will not be able to trick for a while after the 19th as Im having a operation on my foot (Special Forces and everything :P). So if I could have a good by to my foot tricking say that would be excrement (YES EXCREMENT! u cant stop me!)

Im having 2 things done to it at the same time! Im having a ingrown nail cut out and they are also reattaching (its not totaly off but its not helping anything) A tendon that connects to the end of my big toe. So I dont know could be anything from a week to a month or so...which would be gay.
second sampler will be on its way, as soon as i recover from this weekend of various doofs and raves that i party-hartied at.

if it's going to be outside, there are that many ovals and shit around im sure sum1 would be able to spot a nice 1 out sumwhere. i know of a really good one, only prob is that its really far away for you north guys and like 15min for every1 else, ask ne1 from teh raiders they'd agree

As for the next gathering, i'd say its gym time. I know of a few roughly in the middle of where we all seem to be, Challenge stadium (we'd have to get onto that now to get it im time though), The Len Fletcher Pavillion and the Subiaco PCYC (its got a sprung floor, tramp and mats, thats about it)
I've never been to len fletcher but i'm told its pretty awesome, not sure if we could book it though.
Yings is always good though, if you guys in the northern suburbs feel like making the trek.

Ive never been in a gym, thatd b pretty awesome...i think ive got atleast 3 weeks to go until i start tricking again, when i move my foot up and down my ankle feels ok, its just when i move it side to side ive got shit all flexibility...its still a huge bitch. Left ankle is still feeling a tad weaker then usual but its good enough to trick on =). If i were going to the next gathering, which chances are i wont be, I'd go for a gym...just for a new experience.

To all the people who train in or work in (RaRe) a gym, please tell us how much it would cost to book for us for about 4-5 hours and lets get an exact date time and location figured out some time this coming week.
1st of July as I said b4 the first Sunday of every month would be sexy. If we cant get gym time I think the we should just UWA it again, im fucking looking forward 2 it. I just hope I can trick then, depends on what the doc says on Tuesday (if my surgery if b4 it or not, if he says I shouldnt he can get fucked).
On the new moves front, Im working the jacknife aswell by Rob is kinda owning me right now but I can reverse sideswipe now and my tumbling is getting alot better considering. I should be able to c720 Twist by then and actually be able to back tuck (for those of u who dont know I have had trouble with it ever since my bro dropped me on my head from 6 feet), its fucking sad.
So, UWA or gym if we can get it in time?
You guys are going to get abit of a shock at the next gathering...:D, got some new shit from Team Black Light. Is there anything new on the "find us a nice place to trick" front for the gathering?

I think that we should finalise a place now as we dont have info on the gym, its only 1 week till the gathering (YAY!) and we need to organise shiznoo. I would say, 1:00pm UWA the grass we were tricking on for the majority of the last session. Anyone disagree? (if we have anyone new show up, if your facing the clock tower from the side with the pond, walk around to the left of it and look into the distance and you should see us)
i think its like 90 dollars for an hour an a half or 120 for 2 hours.

shit yeah im up for it, no probs putting sum money towards it, im almost 100% sure majority of teh raiders will be willing to put the $20 or wateva it is towards it so yer. man this is gonna be sick, and im going to say that we pretty much are going to have it in the gym or nowhere coz of the rain. going off wat the news said it is going to be the worst day of the week on the sunday i.e max of 18 + rain. so gym is like looking like a definate decision atm.

After emailing RaRe the gathering may not happen this Sunday. This is what happens when it's just 3-4 people talking in the thread.
Perhaps we should push the date back one week so it will be Sunday the 8th.
Whatever, RaRe says he will post some time tonight to discuss the availability of the gym.
Ok heres the deal i have organized it for this sunday at 1:00 pm, if we get the numbers, I need to know who is 100%.
If we dont get the numbers when i get to the gym, ill cancel it there, and im sure everyone will be very disappointed.

ill try be there but i got a party the night b4 and ill prolly be hungover. That and my hamstring is still kinda fucked but ill try give it a go
Just had an idea, Someone who has a camera with an AC charger that goes into the camera (ie you don't remove the battery to charger it) should bring their charger as well. That way we can leave it running the whole time, that way we shouldn't miss too much
