View Full Version : Problems with Hypertwist
Lloydy?!

Im currently working on my hypertwists and i almost have it nailed down. i have enough height and what not, basically whats happening is that i am planting my leg down to land (right leg for me) and i am always crashing it because once my leg plants my left leg decides to hook around basically making me do a hyperhook and it is just throwing my hips around and i end up flailing onto my back. im going to work on controlling it today i just thought id ask ppl their opinion with hypertwists/hyperhooks and if they get the same problem
cheers in advance
I had similar problems... not that my leg was hooking really but the problem was actually the angle at which my body was at when i was landing forced me to try and bring that trail leg around to compensate and generally fall backward. The way I fixed this was to work my height and rotation a little more till my body had a little extra time at the end of the twist to get upright before the landing. This way the other leg just fell into place naturally.

you are probably overrrotating the hypertwist...
just pratice the landing and you'll be fine

overrotation.
Open out with your arms will help you to slow the rotation.

hmm by the sounds of it id think about landing with the hypertwisting leg earlier :good:
think about switching to the hyper leg immediately after you take off
