View Full Version : If you could trade one attribute for another, what would it be?
I'm not talking specific Tony Hawks skill point shizz here, I'm just saying - and gauge the fairness however you see fit - to swap one of your "attributes" for another.
It can be as broad as "I'd like to trade my flipping skill for 1337 kickz0rz", or as specific as "I'm bored of 720 doubles, I want a really REALLY beastly pop720 instead."
This isn't as simple as "what would you like to be better at?" - there has to be a trade, a sacrifice, a compromise involved.
Broadly speaking, I think it would be fun - though not necessarily what I want - to exchange some of my higher level tricks for ambidexterity in the lower ones. E.G. hypercork for comfortable gainers and gainer switches on both sides.
But seriously, I'd trade round-off flashes ( somfg! I'm bored of them now ) for a GODDAMNED MOTHERFUCKING CHEAT720, or maybe a GODFORSAKEN DOUBLE LEG!
What would you do?

this is interesting george but i dont think i could sacrifice anything! i work really hard on individual tricks because im such a slow learner that id be throwing away months of drilling for most of my decent moves haha. im a n00b....
id like to be able to do nice cork variations though. i guess i could make a sacrifice of some sort to be able to do that.
water for gatorade
hahahahaha!!!
you can't double leg george?
Not for shit  I've never even come close... even on the trampoline I can only do the motion half the time.

I cant really think of anything I'd sacrifice just to gain something instantly that I could just gain by working hard towards it later, hmmm.
I'm not sure if I would trade my natural height for the ability to combo easier, but that's all I can really think of.

i would trade fear for something

That's the point
But if you think about it, you're giving the time spent on the move in exchange for another move along with the time you would have spent learning it.
So it's almost a hypothetical "instead of learning [x trick], I wish I had learnt [y trick]" but on a wider scale.
I know what you mean though, it's really hard - I've learnt my tricks for a reason, and I've grown attached to them... I don't want to lose them XD

My gainer flash for a sickingly good hyper cork. Is that to much of an extreme change?
My gainer flash for a sickingly good hyper cork. Is that to much of an extreme change?
Possibly. Maybe not though.
It is illogical though
"So you can't gainer flash at all?"
"No, sorry... every time I try, I end up spinning loads and landing on my swinging leg like a beast."
tf-simon:i'd trade double cork and double aerial twist for consistant hypers of both.lol.
