I need help doing hypertwist!!! I got b-twist down long time and I feel comfortable doing em, I can do B-twist round n Standing B-twist round but when comes to hypering I suck bad:ouch:... theres some b-twist clips in the vid in my sig. HELP!!:dead:

honestly this is going to sound fucking stoooooooopid but the one thing i found that helped was do something that makes your hypering leg "stick out" to you. Like smack it so that you can feel it. or pull a hair out so you can feel it. Anything that makes you be able to feel that leg. It helped me a lot.

edit: And obviously commit the to move otherwise its just not going to work out.

I've tried focusing so I could "feel" my hypering foot and tried pulling it up like wat juji said in the tut but my normal landing leg gets i the way....

Maybe try tucking in your leading leg more, then you'll have no choice but to hyper.

don't focus...make it stand out...honestly. Also try throwing a couple of double-twists. That kind of helps just because then you can feel the rotation.

and when i say "don't focus" its not that you shouldn't focus but i don't think that its nearly as effective as doing something to make your leg stand out to you

you gotta rotate around the peak of your lifting leg in your bkick

the higher you throw your lifting leg in you bkick
the higher your btwist will be

you should rotate at chest height...

Notice how juji chambers his left leg, making it impossible to land on it even if he wanted.

I usually do rotate at chest height :eh:. the slowmo in my vid was low, I only slomo'd it cuz the whippy sound...lol I'll try to get it even higher then:juji:.


thereid, I'll try that out... hopefully I can overcome that legs habit of shooting 4 the ground

ha lol this is hilarious, i learnt hypertwists before i could b-twist, i had problems getting me left leg to come out in order to b-twist, my right leg would just come out as if i had no control.

definately need to tuck that leg back like juji does. all it is really is just opening up later, and forcing that leg. try pulling your hips over when you spot the ground to force yourself to really plant the leg. this is how mine seemed to work i think :eh:

I was always trying to over rotate yesterday... I'll try practice tucking and kicking harder

im not gonna sugar quote here coz u needa know the truth.....ur btwist isnt very good....im sorry to say but u make a pretty typical mistake

u twist too early!..theres no stall in ur btwist and ur legs jus end up following ur torso around so ofcourse u cant help landing on ur right leg..its because u have no height..

stall is the point before a bkick turns into a btwist..i.e. when u go UP...UP!...after u leave the ground...and BEFORE...BEFORE....u twist

if u twist too early...which u do...u eliminate that stall -> no height + legs dragging behind u = no control on the landing leg

i suggest u fix up ur btwist first...make it look SOMEWHAT like juji's (including the legs) and then start trying to btwist double (landing ur btwist on two legs at once). once u start getting enough height to fall out of u btwist doubles then start trying to retract that btwist landing leg and turning it into a hyper...

i dont agree with the idea of practising doubletwists for hypers... its not necessary and it can fuck up ur btwisting form..

Your dipping isn't nearly strong enough to get sufficient height on a hypertwist.

Oh and a bunch of people are saying to bend your leading leg in so you have no choice but to land on the other leg. FAT CHANCE. Maybe if you want to under-rotate every single time and land then stumble and fall because your low and askew.

Get your b-twist higher, put more emphasis on the dip. Right now you basically bounce down and up a little. Bend down, dip down like you would for any vertical jump, then shift over and force your chest and your back leg up. This is especially noticeable on your standing ones, all you do is turn over and twist, you don't jump really which means you didn't bend down for the jump.

Do that first.

I was used to dipping b4 but idk now I need to work on it lol.... I'll work on it in a few days just got back from the gym and I'm sore... sux :agony:
