540 Variation

A friend of mine came up with this during a session today. Basically it's a 540 with a hook/wheelkick before the second kick. So I wonderd what it would be called. 540 double? or hyper cheat feilong with a hook followed by a crescent?

I don't think you can really cheat a feilong lol. I think it doesn't really need it's own name.

But it looks trippy lol. The leg does the whole little spiral thing haha, it looks cool! It might look more wheelkicky if the second kick is delayed a little more, just so it doesn't look like a 540 with an exaggerated leg lift.

if you did it off both feet it'd be a crescent540.

it just looks like you're lifting the leg up really high, thats all.

I think if you added a 3rd kick it'd be a 540 triple, but I usually see those done with a twist kick first (instead of the hook).

EDIT: haha the actual 540 kick looks like a axe kick sort of thing or whatever you wanna call it (leading with heel) rather than a proper one

maybe you should just call it a new trick and name it yourself

I think it's all in the way you chamber that gives off an odd illusion haha. That and that you seem to be doing a front kick with your main kicking leg.

Hey, thx for your feedback. I'ts kinda hard to emphasize the first kick and stall the second one, cause it really kills the spin.
We'll try to stay innovative though and think about some new stuff :wink:

if you watch the first one in slow-mo, you can clearly see that his hook kick has good extension!

You should name this kick man... even if ppl are tellin u its nothing different (which isnt true)

Wow, from the description I was thinking "I know what this is, and it's easy and simple." But what that was was so interesting looking! I am going to try these. It's kind of like he throws a front kick at a 45 degree angle towards the opposite direction of the upcoming 540.
