Anyways, on your standing back, I think you could tuck smaller and thus spin faster, get more height, and possibly land better (I can't tell how you land).

Aren't whips supposed to be straight-legged to get the momentum around fast?

well those are my cheer shoes which are heavy as rocks. my walking shoes are fine and i can land standing straight up with them.

I learned to backtuck with 12 lbs. sand weights on each leg and wearing rock sandals.
