I have been doin gainers for maybe a month or two and i have them down with a j step but never really did a straight on one. Now my question is how hard is the progression into a gainer full. I have them down very nicely off of the side of a pool but its about a 6 inch drop and i really dont know the propper start off. So i was wondering if there is a tutorial any of you know of that shows the steping of your feet until you get into the air.

but ya having experience with other twisting type moves will definately make this easier :). you don't need them but it helps. but if you already know the motion of the gfull from doing it into a pool just try it on ground man.

It's easier than you think. I learned a j-step and a gainer all in the same day. I've done standing gainer's on accident, so their pretty easy. All you need to do is run(not full sprint) jump up and treat it like a back-flip. Just keep in mind you're going forwards, not backwards. Throw both of your arms up hard and get that rotation. Seriously, don't sweat it.
EDIT: I actually have some videos of me doing a gainer without even throwing my arms up if you're interested. Maybe to give you a little confidence booster, or something.
the thread maker obviously stated that he could gainer.

[thought the most stupid advice that you can give to someone who cant fulltwist - throw arms up and then to the side - worked...].
so basicly. if i can do a flash-full/full from a ro, a dble-full on tramp and a g-flash... i shouldnt die trying a cork or a gainerfull right?

It's what you need to do but it is a lot harder in practice than in theory. You can't just huck a gainer full like you can with a cork. It has to be thought about mid move.
if you can flash full then gainer full should be easier for you to learn than most, however you get less height from gainer in comparison to roundoff

Take the twisting idea from a backfull and huck it in with gainer.
I belive their is a gflash tut on the main site.

...you just gainer, while flash kicking. A tutorial isn't necessary for every variation.
And you just learned to gainer, you can't g-flash? or moonkick? gainer x-out? get more variations before doing a g-full to get used to it more. You can try but it'll be hard jumping from a gainer straight into a g-full. :dead:
