K well i'm trying to learn corks at the moment. I've landed 1 so far (today!!!). Most of my attempts I land but have to put hands down to keep from falling forward.

First, is it bad to be looking backwards as I jump? Is it like a backtuck where you should keep your head looking up/forwards?

Second, when i see most people cork they dont really kick their leg up - more to the side. They kick way out in front of them and pull it around sideways. Is this the best set up? because i've heard some people say that you should swing it straight upwards and not to the side. What do you think? When I swing my leg straight up i do more of a gainer full and i land on knees cause i'm not tucking. Oh yeah and thats the third question:

should I be bending my knees or tucking at all when I do the cork? Some people do them that way but it seems like a straight body would be better cause you spin faster that way.

By the way, someone should really make a decent cork video tutorial. That one of Rare on youtube is shit. and dont link me to that sack packin' cork machen thing i already tried that

[EDIT] BTW I will have a vid soon my camera was out of batteries so I couldn't tape today's session. Tomorrow maybe

basically, the best way to learn to cork is to WATCH PEOPLE doing them over and over, i literally watched Matt R's avatar a hundred times to get his exact motion.

However, i dont agree with TRYING to pull the leg up to the side, it happens automatically when you start to spin.

My advice to you is to throw that leg up high and dip the opposite shoulder after it gets past chest height, when you lift off wrap those arms in tight and you'll land it.

Corks have always been a PAIN in the ass for me, but i seem to finally have them consistent. And if you're looking for a good cork tutorial, watch teddy's doublecork tut, just examine his setup, how fast he wraps etc, becuase its unlikely you'll be able to pull off the spin, but the way he gets height etc is very useful to know.

thanks for the tips. i watched teddy's vid and it helped a bit. I think i need to throw my arms up for more height. i'm wrapping them in too early. once i improve a bit i'll post a vid for you guys to critique.
