His balance isn't all that impressive, but his flexiblity is pretty cool. He uses it well.

See I think, and I can't really prove it, that if you are that flexible you could easily do that. See, it causes your center of gravity to be much much lower, so it's like doing a handstand but easier to balance.

Also, he rotates so that his chest is parallel to the ground, so he's in more of a planche type situation, but without needing to lean forward to balance. Because of that, he can use his pecs rather than his shoulders or trapezius to keep himself up.
