I started riding my mountain bike to and from work, 5 days a week. its 5 miles there, and 5 back. before i started doing this i would run 2 miles a day about 3-5 days a week. i prefer the biking because its much more fun and low impact. but the question is, will riding 10 miles a day have a negative effect on my tricking? i have a feeling it could decrease explosiveness

I doubt it. Riding 10 miles a day will take a lot of energy, so if you feel like you've lost explosiveness your body is probably just tired. Physiologically you are training your slow twitch endurance muscles, but so was running for 2 miles. These aren't very different. If you were trading a sprinting and strength training routine for biking then you would see a drop in your explosiveness, but that would be due to no longer doing fast twitch training and have nothing to do with biking.
I would say that the only negative side effects this would have on tricking is that it might make you tired, but that would only last until your body adjusted to the new demands. Besides that, I can only see this helping you.
