so, i know the hook helps add power to the raiz/sidewsipe. but the kicking foot touchs back down before the next trick, at least in the vids i've seen. do any of you guys do it with a missleg or swingthrough? (not sure which it should be called).
i think it would look really sweet.

In one of the NY Gathering sampler (Here (http://youtube.com/watch?v=TEuq2s6IvBg&mode=related&search=)), Manny Brown attempts a c720 s/t snapus. It's the last tricking in there I believe.

Oh no! Ambitrixterous is here to bitch about terminology!!! So... these examples are what's usually called "carry-thru," the difference is that swing through is continuous motion in a straight line. Carry-through is where the leg is in continuous motion, but the performer takes a split second to adjust while bringing the leg around to a more convenient place to takeoff from. Here's an example where Kalman Csoka attempts a related move, 'envergado' (raiz parafuso), swung through out of a backside 10:

os540 _[720\] +envergado
carrythru will be a lot like "axeto" (if done right more power than normal)
swingthru will be more powerful than carrythru if done right but is more difficult to connect and in my experience is scarier...

OOOH DANG go Starfoot that would have been so sick dude hahah.
Anyways, yes I do s/t (or carry through for us terminology lovers) raizes, and s/t them. You can do any raiz variation from a s/t actually, it turns it over faster truth be told. Same with missleg, although with msl it's much harder to get inverted (at least, if done from another move).
