Hmmm, I would say grab one of your friends thats bigger than you. And not let you go home until you wallflip at least three times. :)

Have one of your friends kick you in the balls every time you puss out while attempting it. It's a win-win situation at that point if you attempt it. You'll be able to have kids (A win for you, but not necessarily mankind) AND wallflip!

What he's saying is there's more to try than just wall flips.

But uhhh, it's one of those things you just have to do. That's what I had to do, just take the leap of faith!

I just learned a wallflip 3 days ago. I took a matress and told my brother to spot me. First i did what i call "half wallflips" (i did a wallflip half way then i twist and land on my hands first) i did that a few times until the fear got away. Then i just did the wallflip!!!

man, with wallflips you really have to go for them because if you back out half way then bad things happen such as you dont get enough distance from the wall. like you want to get your foot placed on the wall and kick out and up and then its just a backflip.

i really dont know how to help your confidence levels. i spose you just have to stock up the corage and go for it =] if you live near a gym it would be good for ur confidence or next best thing i spose would be a beach. soft landing if you under rotate the flip.

if you really feel unconfident look at a few tutorials like:

man, i hope you're cool with doing this move.

best of luck! =]]

I learned to wallflip on a tree.

It's been like 2 years since I've done one now though.

Hmm... If I were you, I'd forget(that's right FORGET!! PURGE YOUR SOUL FROM IT!!! XD) about the wallflip temporarily. Why? Read on.

Long ago I attempted a wallflip against a tree and landed it. Later, I hadn't done it for so long i was afraid again. So you know what I did? I forgot about it and learned other tricks. Why did I do that? Because I don't really consider a wallflip to be a 'tricking trick'. I mean, I don't see anyone doing a swingthru double cork, run up to a wall, wallflip and do a 360 crescent to finish the combo. :P (weird example I know, but I think you get my point)

At the moment I learned my backflip my fear was totally gone. And because I could backflip, I could wallflip as well. How come? Well, cause I faced my fears and landed a backflip from a standing position... Wallflips suddenly looked a hell of a lot easier. ^_^;; (They're a lot less scary too)

ps
My advice for learning the backflip if a wallflip scares your pants off? Keep backflipping into a big pile of foam untill you land in an upright position. Once you got that, try it on a (thick) mat, plyo, grass or if you wanna be 'hardcore' you can go on concrete and hope you don't bust your jaw!! :D

THREAD HIJACK!!!!

Do you guys really kick off the wall hard on your wallflips or do you just place the foot there and kick around? I've done many wallflips but I'm always scared that my foot is going to slip cause the wall surface is too slippery. The way i've always done them is to kick off the wall and arch my back to get up high, then just do a backtuck.
