after a not so great session today i started thinking about how i usually got injured. i'd say the majority of my injuries are toe stubs, sprains, or fractures. i really enjoy linking my tricks, and most of this happens inbetween them during swingthroughs :ouch:. just wondering what your most common injuries are, and really what rickers face the most.

the middle knuckle on my middle finger of my right hand.

the finger used to keep coming into contact with the ground on landings... weirdly, only that finger.

I though I was invulerable! AND I WAS! UNtill I began tricking -.- Damnit!
Anyways, never had any injury at all, never broken anything, but I was still active. (Got a can of hot coffe over my chest when I was 2, my front tooth got smashed through my underlip when I fell on a rock, cut my tumb tip off, almoust broke my back on snowboarding(still hurts) )

Sooo anyways, After I began tricking I was fine, then suddenly when I got on plyo (only been on it 2 times) well,, then 2nd time I tried some weird kinda backflip thing and I landed really low, really low, so my right foot hurt alot, It felt like it was a ball in it kinda (MY ENGLISH SUCKS, LIVE WITH IT), and my right knee feels loose as well, it feels like it can fall off, and it happends that it makes noises when I walk. Anyone know how I can fix this? Sessh? anyone?

Have fun!

-Ankle sprains, twists, ruptures, and breaks
-Shin splits+ pressure fractures
-Toe sprains+ breaks
-Finger sprains+ breaks
-Knee hyperextensions+ twists,
-Back strains
-Groin pulls

I've had all of those injuries, minus breaks, fractures, and twists, and ankle sprains. And generally, they tend to happen with the smaller things, or in freak accidents.

The EXACT same thing happens to me all the time.

Most trickers "go out" due to ankle and/or knee injuries.

I don't understand how people like you who have tricked for years and years don't have really messed up knees. I haven't even been doing it for a year yet and mine are already giving me problems.

Rolled ankle, broken foot, screwed up shin, bad knee, and my favorite hyperextensions :D

Big toe on my right foot.

my big toe is bigger than the other because of how much damage has been done to it.

also, my back is wicked flexible, and i think i have done damage to it when trying things when cold, like overstraining ALOT.

My lower back is really depressing me :ouch:, just when I was beginning to progress. :ogre:

I don´t know if it´s a strain, how do I know ?

I´m pretty sure my back muscles are to weak to absorb the impact of all rough landings. It hurts to much to do deadlifts but I still manage a few hyperextensions. I´m gonna take a weak off, and hope it heals.

That strange, the Exact thing happens to me to. I fell once and my whole hand hit the ground and only my right middle finger hurt and its still hurting. My whole finger isnt bigger but the joint in the middle of the finger is.

i've been lucky i guess. only hamstring pull where i couldn't do shit for a few monthes, ankle injuries, bruises on heel or ball of hte foot, lower back injuries, sprained wrists, shin splints, and the infamous legs clapping together on the balls.

right now its jammed toe and lower back hurts so i'm thankful haha.

the most common by far (but least detected) are minor spinal subluxations hands down.

Spinal subluxations: Misalignments in the bone structure either minor, major, or passively created through trauma, posture problems, stress, or inherited from relatives. Subluxations "USUALLY" realign themselves naturally if your body is healthy and strong but many subluxations cannot correct themselves thus chiropractors have a job. I'm 100% positive everyone here has experienced at least a minor subluxation whether they knew it or not, many bails/crashes create minor subluxations and i've had 20+ at least. I've only had 2 major subluxations though which were 'joint adhesion subluxations' in my neck after a nasty crash, the next day / few days i could not turn my head left at all.. it was stuck (thus the term 'adhesion') I know i've read a few times on here that people have experienced similar circumstances. Myself having poor spinal structure I had to see a chiropractor to get this resolved....

does this clear up your question?

honestly..my toes are the worst I've had. A couple of them cracked/sprained.
A rolled ankle which doesn't really bother me, but still good to take a rest.
A common injury is rug burn from my gym, it may be minor but it hurts like a bitch.

My knees are starting to worry me, hopefully they're not gone after a year of tricking.

Other than that I'd have to agree on the ankles, although they do heal up quite okay for me.
