Nice! That's pretty much what's to it... what's your goal?
I'm not sure....Since I'm 6'2'' I will probaly have to set a high goal, to look big. So around 195-200 i guess. But when I reach 190-195 I will try cutting for a while.

Sounds good... what are you training/dieting for (more goals)?
My reason are as listed:
Too much time
Lack of confidence
REALLY BORED
etc.
If that is what you meant?

Aim higher. Good job on the bulk, was it clean? (doesn't sound like it having to cut and all)... I'd say go for about 220. I'm 5'10" and i think with 4 more inches on me i'd want to be about 220 at least. But that's just me.
Pics? :good:
My bulk wasn't very clean...ha ha...The last two kilos has marked them selves as a nice layer of fat on my stomach. As for pics, I should take some soon, to document, i have some old ones, from around 170 pounds. I will upload some in a minute.
These are the old pictures, at about 170 pounds i guess

What is your training like?
Overall body routine, I've just started my new training program with training monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday.
monday, wednesday and friday are upperbody/core the rest is legs. I'm still trying to figure out a good program, with good exercises, I will need to research more on that point. Also, I can't work hard on my legs, because of jumpers knee, but I'm trying anyways.

No I meant more like what you want out of your training. Wether it'd be a nicer body, more strength or something in that aspect.
I'm on a pretty dirty bulk right now, I'm up to 215-220 right now, I'm guessin when I cut I'll end up bein down to 190 at the most

Well....Nicer body, I actually don't have any real goals, like becoming a bodybuilder or "contest lifter". I just have a lot of sparetime, and figured I might as well use it for something productive. Simple goal: To become more VIKINGISH!

wow, that's like 14% of your weight to cut. Either you're planning on losing a whole lot of muscle, or you're pretty fat atm. PICS?

yeah, I'm dirty bulking like a mofo, so yeah, my abs are pretty much all gone now, well... not gone, but hidden, hibernating... waiting to be unleashed!!!
I've never had abs...Also, I've just returned from vacation, and the fridge is all empty, it's fucking hard bulking when there is nothing to eat, my parents suck at buying grocery. I guess I'm going to take matters in my own hands.

I never saw the point of "clean bulking" unless you actually want to hamper your progress in muscle growth for some reason by using some pathetic diet. Nor do I see the point in a "dirty bulk" unless you specifically want to gain fat.
The point of a bulk is to gain muscle. If you are eating so much (or working out so little) that your bodyfat is getting out of hand, in my opinion you should probably start including more cardio in your weekly routine to control that (or, as the case often is, up the volume and intensity of your actual workouts).
Unless of course, you specifically want to get fat, or are just too lazy to do any cardio or control your eating habits. Which would be fine as well.

I think we're going to have the common problem of different people having different understandings of these phrases like "bulking", "clean bulking", "dirty bulking"...
mr popular - what do you mean by "clean bulking"?
----
Perhaps its reasonable to use "clean" and "dirty" to refer to the quality and 'healthiness' of the foods eaten, and not the ratio of muscle:fat gained. "Bulking" should just mean gaining weight, and imply nothing about the rate of it nor the proportion of fat gained (this would solve 90% of other arguments about whether or not bulking is a good idea, where people are arguing the exact same point but using different words for it). And maybe we can just seperately examine the amount of fat gained during the bulk, without a particular word for it. Although "dirty bulk" and "clean bulk" could be fairly well used in relation to this instead of the food-quality idea mentioned previously.

I didn't really read your post but this should clarify everything:
Bulking=eating a calorie excess in an attempt to GAIN MUSCLE.
Clean bulking=bulking at a much slower rate because you are either (a) trying to gain no bodyfat whatsoever, or (b) trying to actually reduce your bodyfat. Usually results in no progress being made unless the person is experienced.
Dirty bulking=overeating/underworking, purposefully or lazilly gaining more fat than muscle, usually ends in little progress simply because even if eating that much actually caused slightly more muscle to be gained (which is questionable anyway..), a good amount of muscle would be lost during the cutting progress to get rid of all the fat.
Rather than an ordinary approach to bulking, which is much more effective:
gaining an equal amount of muscle and fat, or utilizing cardio and a less sugary/sloppy diet to gain more muscle than fat, which would result in much less muscle being lost during the cut, if it was necessary to cut at all that is....
In the end it is up to the individual, however, and what works best for them.

Thanks, ok. My idea of "clean bulking" is what you mean by "bulking". I understand what you mean.
----
As we mentioned in a previous thread, mr popular - 1:1 muscle:fat ratio is, I think, the very lowest acceptable ratio. Most people should be able to get 2:1 easily, and be gaining muscle at the same rate as with worse ratios. Any worse than this is only because you cba to do it any better (you want to eat shit and too much, for example), which isn't neccessarily a bad reason.

Clean bulk: eating clean foods
Dirty bulk: eating whatever (often without regard to minimizing fat gain)
Slow bulk: attempting to minimize fat gain

Sure but by that definition you could eat tons of completely healthy foods for a "clean bulk" and still wind up fat. It just doesn't make sense in my mind. haha

So we have seperate terms such as "slow bulk" to describe the rate of weight gain (and so the proportion of fat gain)

I have a job, and I now know what to avoid to prevent me from getting sick in the same way. So thanks for the completely worthless advice guys.
So I'm wondering how to set up a program. I train 5 days a week, 3 which are upper body. I thought of making one day delt day and another pec day, and then overall upper body on the last, but is this even a good idea?

No. I'll tell you why.
With five totals days your split would be like this:
1: delts
2: chest
3. upper body
4. legs
5. legs
Not in order of course.
So lets say you devote all of day 2 to chest. I doubt youre going to do as much horizontal pulling on day three, plus you'll do more horizontal pushing on day three which would mean you'll be spending way more time on pushing than pulling creating imbalances. The same goes with delts assuming youre doing some kind of vertical pushing for delts--I doubt you'll do as much pulling.
There are more than two muscles in the upper body.
Hmmm....okay...
EDIT:
How long should a training session be?
A place between 2 seconds and 2 years.

You have a job yet can't afford a basic necessity like food? Where does your money go instead? Come on now. And you can't possibly be sick ALL THE TIME so that's a pathetic excuse.
