It's been inspiring to read all the journals/updates of people progressing, so I thought I'd make one myself.

Today I maxed out in the snatch and clean & jerk. It's not much, but I've been training for about 2 months and I beat all the gym records for youths in my weight division so I'm happy about it though.

Snatch
47kg/104lbs

Clean & Jerk
57kg/126lbs

Total
104kg/228lbs

My bodyweight is 65kg/143lbs. I usually weigh more but I've been lousy with my diet recently and been partying a lot so I've lost much weight, and it's not bodyfat so I need to get a grip on that.

This wednesday I'll max out in squats (front/back) and some other excercises, more info then. Competition is in 2 months.

is this a weightlifting competition?

in which case i'd be scared haha. i thought it was common for people to do at least above their bodyweight for those lifts (i do and i hardly train).

Well it's just a serie round (don't know the proper translation, serieomgång) ... which means that it's mostly rookies from other clubs.

Shengoikee, I'm 8kgs from my bodyweight in the C&J. Judging from the improvement I've done over theese two months, I should be able to C&J about 70kg when it's time for the contest (5kg more than I weigh).

rock_ten, yeah it's a good number consider the amount of training in have, but it's not very flashy at all.

TRAIN MORE, LIFT HEAVIER WEIGHTS, BE MORE EXPLOSIVE, DESTROY EVERYTHING.

What? No I mean't that by the time the competition is due I should be able to lift a little more than my bodyweight!
