hi i am new to tricking and now im trying to learn the frontflip. i read and watched several tutorials in youtube and other website, but still i am unable to land the frontflip.
a few questions here..
1) is there any way to make the rotation faster?
2) when do i untuck my leg? got probelms with this.. i can do almost the full rotation already, but it seems that when i land.. i still land with my legs tucked, and fall backwards right after that..
3) where should i look? does the way you look make a difference?

tuck tighter - head in, knees to chest, small tight ball
get your hips over your head
2) when do i untuck my leg? got probelms with this.. i can do almost the full rotation already, but it seems that when i land.. i still land with my legs tucked, and fall backwards right after that..
more height will help this, block by putting your feet in front of your body and jumping UP

you should look up and keep your head up as you take off and jump, once you begin to tuck to rotate though and your arms come down to your knees, bring your chin to your chest

cowboy tuck for faster rotation. knees to side of head, head in between knees.
untucking your legs at the the right time just comes with practice and air-awareness.

also before you do it a little hop or bounce helps....i could say why, but..then again, it may be wrong... and when you get to the peak tucking brings you around.

ok if you kno how to run and punch/block, good if u don't thats ok .. what your going to do for that is run at a pretty nice pace prefebly a fast jog/ or sprint whatever u prefer then when your ready skip really fast and low to the ground and put your feet out in front of your hips, then use the balls of your feet to bounce you to the sky..after that, your going to put your arms up almost as if you were diving into the sky or slam dunking on a basket ball hoop thats really high, don't be afraid to get height! just so you kno , your peak is when your absolute highest point in the air, your going to want to tuck this front flip as your still traveling up not at your peak just slightly before it, and when you flip bring your ass and your hips up behinde you, this will give you lift and you'll rotate faster and at your absolute peak, anyway your diving slamdunking w/e then swing your arms and upper body down as hard as possible and tuck..let go when it feels right.. hope this helps..

1. To make your rotation faster, set your arms upward when you jump (if you don't already do this), focus on one point ahead of you, then throw your arms as though you are throwing a soccer ball as hard as you can and tuck into as small a ball as possible, attempting to untuck when your sights are on the point you focused on before.
2. Well I guess that solves that question
3. Straight ahead
And yes, blocking is important for a running front flip. Just step forward while you have some forward momentum and then step your next foot up to the same line and bounce off the balls of your feet and you should get a more powerful jump.
