Do you find you have to sacrifice inversion of the raiz to s/t or pop out of it ?

what kind of pops? Like pop flash?

if you mean pop stuff like pop kicks, then no, inversion can be kept :good:

as for s/ts etc i dont believe that they have to be altered/sacrificed, its just practise.

depends what kind of s/t... if you are going to do a cork, it should be less inverted... but if you are about to do a gflash, inversion is good.

idk about pop kicks tho

yeah obviously they look better, but i was wondering if people find it easier to s/t out of less inveerted ones.

i think different people are going to treat it differently; some people are going to be able to s/t out of fully inverted raiz, whereas other people will be less than horizontal in order to s/t.

personal preferance, and working with what you can do :good:

i always found it hard to swing out of inverted ones because my chest was always too low.

tdraiz swings ftw ~

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

At least for swings. For pop tricks, I'd imagine more would be better. However in general, higher raizes are always better, haha. Especially with swinging, for if you have a high raiz your leg swings through on it's own just about all the time without even thinking about it.

but inverted ones you can get more momentum/speed. Inverted ones are better for Gflashes me thinks.

inversion will not affect momentum. TKD Andy has the right idea here, it is entirely dependent upon your own raiz prowess. Skilz is right that the more height the better, as long as you can land in the correct position to pop or swing (whatever you want to do) However, there is no rule that says one way of doing it is better than the other for either purpose. And yes, this does go against Loopkicks Prodigy's tutorial (which for the record I disagree with whole-heartedly) that says the 'high raiz' (horizontal raiz) is better for swing through and that the inverted one is low... Na.

EVERYONE AT ONCE INCLUDING ME: "BUT PRODIGY'S RAIZ KICKS YOUR RAIZ' ASS!!!"

Yeah, his has better waaay form than mine, but just look at Crazy Asian. Almost all his raiz swingthroughs are out of an inverted raiz, not to mention hardcore capoeira guys who hit PERFECTLY inverted raiz swingthroughs all day...!!

To answer the original question: Most people do not invert their raiz naturally, and so even if they can do the move they will most likely try to compensate when they try to swingthrough and end up cutting the inversion short (just the way everyone cuts the inversion short on a sideswipe when they set it up for snapuswipe). It does not have to be this way. If you want to swing out of an invert raiz practice the invert raiz until you can hit that in position to swing through and take it from there...
