How can I make this cheat 9 cleanerand the kick higher? Also i dunno if this counts as a cheated cheat set up or not. I tried making it as much of a 540 take off as i could but it still feels very cheated. I also feel off balance sometimes when doing cheat 9s.

Actually you are doing what you should do in a cheat 9, and it isnt that cheated at all, alot of ppl cheats them even more. Just drill man, to me it just looks like you have just learned and need to get some more control and muscle memory..

It might help if you wouldn't lean back when you jump off the ground, also try to bring that first leg up as a 'knee', this will make you spin faster and keeps you better in balance.

About the knee, its really about preferences, some like to do it with a bit of a hook/crescent, just try alot of things!

thanks guuys for the advice. I'll drill them more today with and without the knee take off to see what works. Also how should the arm positioning be throughout the whole trick?

looks like all you gotta do is wait longer before throwing that round kick. let the lifting knee draw almost level with your target before "switching" for the kick.

arms should go way UP on take off but quickly get drawn IN to spin.
