Couldn't find any other section to post it in and the publicus is a no-no especially with body parts such as elbows. Anyways, I have been getting clicks, cracks, pains in my right elbow whenever I straighten my arms. Sometimes, I feel alittle pressure when my arm is bent, then when I go to straighten it, it gets painful, then when I completely straighten it, I hear a crack or click and my elbow fills with pain for a short moment. Whats wrong with it?

after it clicks does it feel better?
propably the protective shit that lubricates your elbow joint has wore down, and your bones are rubbing together, either that, or your tendon could have popped out of it's sheath, either way, if it's painful like that for no apparent reason, then go to the doctor

It hurts for a couple of seconds then it feels better.

I can't just go see a doctor right off the hop. You have to make an appointment, wait untill they can call you to confirm, then you have to wait for an hour in the waiting room and it costs money, something I don't have at the moment because all the fucking jobs that I applied for havent called in the last 3 months and I don't want my parents to waist money on something that could just be due to growing.

How long have you been having these problems? If your answer contains any plural form greater than "days" (eg. "weeks") then you should get it checked.
Either you scrape that money out and get it checked or you pay the consequences. Unless your family has economical problems I don't think they will hesitate to pay in order to get you patched up.
Joints should not hurt to that extent as the results of a growth spurt. At least not to my knowledge.

My bet is on cartilage issues.

Its not hurting today(thank god). My family doesn't have problems with money but its such a pain to try and see the doctor. The healthcare system where I live is slow, not worth it, and sucks.

It hurts for a couple of seconds then it feels better.
So it feels painful when you extend it, and kind of jams before it goes straight, then you can punch your arm out and it clicks, which is itself painful, then after it has clicked, after a couple of seconds, the whole thing feels better?

How long have u been suffering from this. If it is a short term pain it should be heal 1 to 2 month. Had you fall on your elbow? If is a long term pain i suggest you to see a doctor, usually long term pain mean your bone problem.

Its long term. I've never got any elbow injuries. I think my dad has the same problem too. So I guess it could be tennis elbow or something.
I have the same problem. It's not isolated though. Most of the bones on the right side of my body are fucked (collarbone, elbow, hip, knee).

Hm, can you describe the sorts of thing you tend to do with your arms, and the amount of liquids/fatty acids/proteins in your diet?
Do you ever rythmically compress and compress your elbow through pushing and pulling?
How does load on the arm affect the cracking if at all? As in, straightening it with the triceps under tension, or straightening it with the biceps under tension?

Uhhh for eating, I don't eat alot of fatty foods(except peanut butter and milk), I get about normal amounts of acidic food, and I eat my meats at dinner, and peanut butter sandwhiches for snacks for the proteins. My elbow just clicks and I don't know why. I have never had any injuries with it, but Im guessing it could be from all those straight punches from shotokan.
Get it checked. Do it at a recommended private professional if you have to.

Forums are okay to get the basic idea, but to be 100 percent sure is to go see a doctor, as we are unable to see you and are not doctors, we are unable to give advise. Pictures wont do either, just dont be lazy, if you are do same thing that i did, get a fammily doctor near your house, so eachtime you cock your shit, you can easilly visit him.

Wow, I'm surprised to read this thread. I thought I was the only one with this problem and thought it was some fluid thing. But a cartilage or bone problem? If the bones were rubbing, don't you think it would be alot worst than just a popping joint? I played baseball my whole life and did about 10 yrs of martial arts, and my elbows has been popping for a long time. Sometimes when I do pushups or keeping my arms still in a bent way for like 5mins, it tends to lock up and I have to flex my muscle and str8'en it out to pop it. Yes, it hurts for a few secs then goes back to normal.

My thumb used to do this. After i decided not to 'pop' it, and let it go away by itself, it gradually went away.

How does load on the arm affect the cracking if at all? As in, straightening it with the triceps under tension, or straightening it with the biceps under tension? When I read this it made me think of the clicking in my elbow that occurs when I have tension on my bicep/tricep...
From what I've researched my elbow problem seems to be due to an internally rotated humerus...leading to pressure/entrapment of the ulnar nerve (funny bone area at the elbow). This may be the clicking the OP is experiencing...Mine started out as a click in the elbow and then it started becoming painful due to weight training...especially overhead tricep extention and skull crushers.
Anyways...basically I've started doing more rotator cuff (external rotation), scapular retraction work (pronated grip rows, scap push ups etc), and of course stretching the shoulder girdle and forearms...This has definitely helped clear up my elbow clicking and pain problem.
Also to the OP, consider sleeping with your arm straightened and wrapped semi-loosely in a towel to prevent bending the elbow at night and sleeping on it.
Here's an article on some stretches/remedies for ulnar nerve entrapment:

Here's a great article on fixing an internally rotated humerus...which is more common than you may think:

Your symptoms seemed similar to mine so I hope this therapy helps...also consider taking an omega 3 and glucosamine supplement...and of course REST YOUR ELBOW

why does US just get same health care as they have in Canada, oh wait....i forgot, the president that has reading skill level of a 3rd grader is too busy bombing other countries. Oh most of all i love how Americans whine about 9/11 and wonder why it has happened, well lets see....Lets go into the country bomb them, hang their president and expect cupcakes for return.
Regarding your elbow, see a doctor dude, pain does not come from growing, unless its teeth, well the one you have described, if it is lube, then you will need pills that will quiken the reproduction of this lube, hence SEE A DOCTOR!
