so this is more a questin about the starting starting position in a -Cork/Gainer-
in a -Gainer Flash- you throw your arms up and whip you head back while kicking hard, right?
( that works pretty good for my -Gainer Flash-
you should do the same for -Cork-?
coz at the moment i don't arch my back when i -Cork- and i leaves me a LIL less then horizontal in my -Corks-...
i could load a clip of my current -Cork- if you like one.

In my cork I start whipping back even before I've left the ground which makes it extremely low, its the same with yours (although yours is higher then mine for now :K), try to kick and go up then spin and whip back.
But the key to a great cork is to simplify it. Forget you have an upper body just run kick and wrap, no over shoulder reaching or anything.

Good idea. I just found one tiny problem though:
YOU DO HAVE AN UPPER BODY

Time the whipping of your head correctly. You want to arch but you want the arch to be quite late. Wrap tight and fast, don't try to pull your arms out and around for the spin, simply give them a fast pull and wrap them in and hold your whole body in the wrap.

It's not where you do, it's where you don't want to.
I say, don't think about it until after you can already cork. But you already can haha.
So since you're not doing it too early, and seemingly not at all, just do it as you're coming off the ground. As in, while your calf is extending and your body is juuuuust about ready to leave the ground, ease into the arch. I wouldn't say whip backwards, because this implies that you're going to bend your back backwards as well, which is detrimental.
Just practice the takeoff by doing slant gainers which get inverted. Then take that same takeoff and apply twisting to it.
Observe such examples as Anis, Teddy, and Punshi. Notice the direction of their heads as they swing their leg under, kick their leg up, leave the ground, and initial the twist.
Mostly, you want to look over your shoulder before arching back. The arch should come around the same time as the spin. The arch isn't NECESSARY but it helps the aesthetic appeal of your corks and makes them inverted, and we call inverted corks MANS corks.

Ya I guess. It's not really about trying to get extra height it's about doing the technique well enough so you have enough height to yeno, land well, s/t at will etc. The most important thing is having a good, fast, and tight twist, and being able to set yourself up to do just that.
For example look at Punshi. He archs a lot, his aren't massively high, but he can double cork, he can swing through easy, all that. It's cause he spins FAST AND FRICK ahah. The faster you spin, the easier the landing. Same thing goes with btwists and whatever, which helps with swing throughs.
